Does anyone know of a fiberglass spinner that uses just one bolt to hold it on? I found some at Espirit models but those need 6 little screws like the CF ones. I really should wait until I see how it balances before I get a spinner. I may or may not need nose weight.

i think 3W make these spinners you are on about.
But im not sure if they do the shape you are after though.
Im getting on fine with a mejzilk CF one at the moment.
i had a fibreglass one with the same 6 bolt arrangement on before and it fell apart!!!

any body have pics of the bottom of the blue one?? just curious, i am interested in seeing both versions before graphics are added, i was going to ask if the blue was hard to see, but now i see its more yellow than blue, excellent, so no issues seeing it i guess? i ask because i had a blue yak in the past and was hard to see in a bank turn before final approach, but further looking i see mine was alot lighter blue, and this extra is more yellow, still want to see more pics, i think i will have to put my name on for next list of planes, not quite there yet with all the money, need a few more weeks

I kind of like the red white and blue scheme, but can't decide. I'm on the list but I told her I wanted the yellow blue one. I ordered my 25mm drop hdr, and 5955's, now all I need is spinner( what size?) and servo extensions,(what length?) I'm thinking 2-36" for elev, 2- 24" for ail, and 2- 12" for throttle and ign? does this sound right? also how do you add smoke to the cannister setup, do you tap the header or the cannister? and can a 50cc bird carry the extra weight of smoke system? I heard it's better for 33% and up. opinions? thanks, Phil.

Thats set up will be perfect mate.

The spinner size is 4" for the extra.

I will have to measure the extension leads to tell you what I used, so I will do when I get a chance, unless Nick has some measurements in mind??

I don't know anyone who is going to use smoke, but I imagine that a 50CC engine could cope with the extra weight although it will fly far better the lower the weight due to a much lower wing loading, so it is entirely up to the individual whether they use smoke or not.

If its like all of the other EF stuff I have flown, I imagine it will feel alot bigger in the sky than what it actually is, I have found this a consistant trait with the EF stuff, even in the smaller electric models they sell.

Smoke for a 50cc bird should only weigh a 1.5 - 2 lbs, depending which way you go. That should not be a problem with this bird considering its almost 89 wing span and a lot of wing area. I believe Nick said 36" ext were needed, I think he meant to take off stabs though. Mine will have the 60cc in it, I believe that motor will definately make up the difference in a little extra weight.

I had smoke on the original 87" EF Yak..Plane flew good but the extra weight was very evident when hovering and tumbling maneuvers. Other than that--and a lot of mess it will work. I was running a DA50 with the stock muffler and it poured out the smoke.

I believe bottom of blue and yellow one is dark Blue, with several vertical yellow stripes on each wing. I can not send a pic though. because I do not have it yet. I am sure Nick or Flyin Graham will chime in shortly. I am trying to beat all of you in getting it to my door step first.

I'm going to give one of Extreme Flight's spinners a try. Chris said they would work great on the 50cc planes.

Check the price, $14.99 for a4" spinner!!!, and they come in several colors.
