I WANT one and I know it will fly great because it is an Extreme flight. I'm still flying an original 68in yak.

Hi Guys.

2 Flights in, and , AWESOME!.
First flight CG was a little on the nose , our fault, we didnt have anything to go by.
Engine was exceptionally smooth for a first tank of fuel.

Took off and trimmed it and went into some mild aeros as i didnt feel the CG was suited for 3D yet.
Snaps are so locked in and the point rolls too.
It feels really locked in in all maneuvres, and get this, i tried a low ish KE pass using high alpha with full rudder, using only the throttle to keep it there, there was NO coupling, which is something that will take some getting used to but im not complaining

Anyhow enough for now, havent been home in 5 days due to building this thing and getting it demoed
Pics and video are done and on the way.

3D i havent really tried apart from a low ish hang but the CG wasnt feeling too good so until i get it back!

Another winner from EF!

Nice flying Graham!

Did your coupler come lose on the pipe? Diagnosis/fix? Also how much mixing did you have to do for those nice slow high alpha knife edge passes? Did you weigh the plane all done?

Thanks, I have been gathering components.

Richard

HI dude.

Havent weighed it yet!
And the carbon keeps slipping off the teflon using a standard spring so im upgrading to a jubilee clip with a self tapper as a back up. Should work a treat.

And i was using basically no mixing for the high alpha KE believe it or not, its one of the things ive picked up on.

Will weigh it when i get a chance, hopefully get out again with it tomorrow and get some DOD shots lol.

CG will be changed tonight, as will the exhaust issue, which i hate cause the engine has to come off lol. but oh well !, its worth it hehe.

We've been rushed so much this last weekend to get it demoed.
will have some flying pics up soon!

What a great weekend. Hats off to Tom and especially Nathan who did a sterling job putting this thing together so quickly.

It was really nice to see this thing fly, and Tom did a great job with a brand new DA, especially considering the second flight was at a show.

I am fairly certain it is right on the 16Lb mark it is really light and with that ES pipe the power is crazy. CG I would guess could come back around 1" or more easily but that is an easy fix. The model flies beautifully though and is stunning to look at it really is. , there will be more pictures coming tonight. I know Graham took a bunch with my camera which i will start going through in the next coupld of hours I am sure you managed to grab a few good ones in there.

Look out for some video this weekend too. Tom will be flying the Extra at this years UK Freestyle Championships so I will be filming away as much as possible.

Wow, that video is awesome. For sure a must have plane for someone that loves Extra 300's. Great looking scheme as well.
