Really? that would be an odd size, kinda big for nitro ,and kinda small for real gas,Maybe a 160 size brother to the 160 size Yak?
I am really liking this 88.5
Even with a new DA it seemed to have Foamy Pullout
I like what I see so far

Nitro, the DA fiddy and pipe ought to be giving near 32-34 lbs of thrust on a 16 (16.75 lb mayby with fuel) airframe. You are approacing the 2 to 1 power curve. That is cool in my book!!

Now all I would like to see is the red, the blue and the red/blue scemes side by side to decide.

I am thinking DL-50 on Ecomposites tuned pipe with a single 2 cell A123 on flight and a single cell A123 on ignition. The Bisson type fiberglass spinner is a pain in the long run wit the 6 screws to set (I would like to find a light white...most likely glass spinner with that shape).

I have owned/flown (see my models) what may very well be a distant cousin of this plane with 85 inches and 16 lbs and I thought the design with enlarged flight controls was pretty cool and it did the most wicked KE spins. I can only imagine this one which is midwing (better)and the biggest plus for me is the pipe tunnel.

Guys I have the EF-88 Yak and love the sound and power of a piped engine. If the competetors were smart they might figure out the added marketability of pipe/canister accomodations.

Richard

Here is a photo of the alternate color scheme for the 88 inch Extra. This is the 58 inch version but the scheme is the same. Pilot and dash/panel as well as Depron cockpit floor are included, but not installed. We have opted to use this scheme vs. the blue/white as we were having trouble with orientation, especially on the back side of rolling circles.

Not bad at all, of course, change the blue to black and you've got the same scheme (almost) as the yak. I really like it and the multicolored scheme is totally awesome.

Getting there Chris - almost perfect.

The last upgrade missing would be a cowl with a inner ply ring that attaches to the firewall with 4 bolts - like the Aeroworks and PAU models.

Alignment to fuse is perfect every time and there is less wear on them holes in the FG cowl.

Chris, any update when these beast will hit the good ole U S of A? I think the yellow and blue is even better than the blue and white.

I had a little trouble with orientation with the 45" blue and white at first also.

Keep up the great work.

Totally agree. A cowl ring mounting system would be awesome!

Both of these schemes are spectacular! What a truly awesome job you guys [ Extreme Fight & Freestyle-RC] have done bringing these planes to the market, the bar just keeps getting raised higher and higher.

thx Dave

Chris, what would the underside look like for the wing bottom? I really like the large rectangles like on the posted earlier in this thread (red and white underside)

The bottom is solid blue with yellow invasion stripes. This provides a great contrast to the yellow top. These Extras have been in production for several weeks and I am sure I will get the shipping notification soon.

The new scheme is the best
I had issues with orientation on my blue/white 45" electric extra especially during low light and on those hazy days.
