BOOOYAAAAA, Time to DO WORK SON !!!!,,,

I have my surfaces glued. Went crazy yesterday and called Chris ordered an Area 51, received my area 51 today. I can't wait to get the extra in the air with this new engine.

It seems the construction is a bit different on the fusalage than my 1st extra. There is more braceing but the overall weight of the fuse feels much lighter than I remember, maybe it will turn out closer to 16.5 ish, that would be cool w/me.

How many planes have gone into those trees in the background?

Its probably a high zoom shot, exagerating the close distance of the backdrop, which is likely 2-300 yards.

So I added up the weights of all the stuff I have and I figure the plane should come in around 16.5 lbs, the airframe and landing gear and servos + hardware are about 10 LBS, nice!

Much better than the last one you got from them.. thats about 2lbs lighter! The old one must have been EXTRA, EXTRA reinforced or something...

I can not see how one Ef Extra would be 2 pounds heavier than another. IMO Except for personal preference. As far as I know they have changed nothing since the first proto. Ask Chris on this. Guys with a 60cc and 2 ign batteries are still under 18 lbs with all the same swb hardware and 5955's all around.

The inside of this fuse is different than the last one I owned. As far as the final weight I guess that remains to be seen but the last one I had with the same components was 17.5 lbs with the DA but still about 1 lbs difference. In the end who cares JUST FLY.
