Got a pic? Mine is so tight of a fit that anything underneath will make it bulge out even more...which is why I think it's cracking.

Sand down the fuse underneath? If so that's what I was thinking of doing: Peel up the covering and take some wood off the fuse so there's room for the repair undeneath the canopy. The canopy will become thicker with the CA hinge. Did you right-angle the CA hinge so half went on the canopy and half on the canopy frame?

Thanks

I had some problems with mine as well. I thought the problem with mine was that the slots on the fuse where the tabs of the canopy slide into, were not quite high enough. I took a file and removed a little wood on the top of these slots. That let the back of the canopy sit down on the fuse a little better. Don't remove too much or the canopy will be higher than the fuse on the front. And if you get the tabs and slots too loose it will rattle in flight.

That sure helped mine...so far.

Hi Gang,

Just over a week ago the Rally of Giants was held at a municipal airport just a half hour west of where I live. The weather was mixed over the weekend but in spite of some rain I was still able to put 16 flights in on my Extra. That was probably the worst weather I'll fly this plane in. We flew through rain showers and with a 20mph cross wind for most of the weekend. The event was well attended with 109 registered pilots and some 200 aircraft.

Here are a couple pics from the weekend. That's yours truly flying under the cover of the umbrella.

I know I know Where are the wheels pants and graphics??? They're coming. I'd rather be flying it then playing with it in the shop.

Happy Landings
Scotty

Got my new Extra 300 parts and new Area 51. I hope to fly this weekend. Please patronize Extreme Flight and RC Extreme Power, these people treated me great to get me back flying. These guys could have charged me normal sell prices, instead they helped me out and I will be flying much sooner than expected.

THANKS

Bill you know that you cant use those big words on this forum. Patronize what the heck does that mean anyhow. Is that like when you make fun of the fat kid for finishing off the box of Twinkies.

Oh well get to work on the Extra and lets fly this coming weekend.
