I found an extra that must have been hanging around from the first batch. With a DA, ES pipe and all the trimings weighted in at 18lbs 6oz. Hell my yak with brillelli and es came in at 17lb 10 oz. It must be all in my head because it flys better than the yak. I might put some smoke in the yak to see if it gets better. I'm moving the cg back today to see how much better it gets

Hey Gang,

Well I finally got around to getting a graphics package from Bad Brad Graphics. If you don't already know Brad is a great guy to deal with and the graphics sure turned out great!

Thanks to my buddy Goose for the pics.

Happy Landings

Hey,

I was going to be putting a 366GT in my Extra but with Brillelli going under that is no longer an option. Now I am seriously considering an Evolution 58 or MVVS 58 Pro. Anyone have any insight as to whether this is a good or bad combo? This is the largest "50CC" airplane I have and don't want it under powered. That being said I dont want to put an anchor on the front of this thing that will rip the wings off at 1/2 throttle. I prefer to hover at 30% - 40% throttle. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

When you set up the cowl, Do not open the bottom of cowl for air vent, open up a place in the bottom of plane where the cans should come out and leave ti opening in the firewall open, Will run 15-20 deg cooler.

Milton,

What pipe or can would you recommend? Do you have any numbers running with a pipe or can?

Thanks!

Thanks Milton, got any pictures on your Extra? My exit hole for the can (I will run stock muffler) measures 3.5 inch by 5 which is probably smaller than what you have on yours, no?

Your grandson flys good, you should give him all the engines he wants!!

Milton,

Thanks!

I just set up one on a big stick just to test it, I used a header pipe for a da and had to bore out the mountung holes a little, DA is 50mm center to center on bolts and the Area 51 is 38mm

I have it set up with a KS-4-60 tune pipe, I just set it up with a coupler and got lucky with the lenth

Engine new out of the box turned a Mez 22-10 prop 7450 and supper quite and smooth.

I will either get another Extreme Flight Extra or may wait on the Edge and install it in it. Just ahte to wait until December for the Edge.

He is not lacking for engines that is for sure.

I have some pictures but none of them show the cut out in the bottom of plane, We just opened the one at the back of the can space and took out the whole section of covering.
