Those two models are in the same "family tree" mine was the Extra Magic 90. I do agree that the Magnum likes a little caster or just the heavier oil in the 20/20 helps and it is getting SMOOOOTHer as she come around. I always couldn't figure out how OS could make as nice an ABC fit as on the VF but the chrome (or later nickel) would flake of around the ports. Sure did dechrome a VF first time a set the pipe short and tweaked the needle. That was my too short (Pipe) mine and (fuse) of Tony F story and even though I flew with him more than once it was about the same as yours. I do miss buying those VF 61's for $99.99 at World Engines though. Still have a NIB one but not good for SPA. I might rotate the liner and put it in an FSR case, should work. Of course I'm sitting on the other side of the service desk right now answering questions about industrial laser cutting systems for work so sometimes I know where Tony was.

I hope these Magnums last with the heavier pitch pattern props all I used on the other plane was a 14-4W and a 15-4 for hovering stuff.

Peace

Mark O

The Rossi is a .60 blackhead. It's about 25 years old or more. I am running a apc 11x10, with a factory (I think) tuned pipe and as for a glow plug, I have no clue it was in the motor when I pulled it out of the box. My dad had it from his old pattern days years ago, new in the box. I am still breaking it in but vertical performance at 1/2 throttle is great!!!! This airplane fly's like it is on rails!
