I just ordered it for my USAIRCORE Trainer, gonna strap it to the side. Will it record video when it's closed? What are all your comments about it.

I bought the Aiptek Pocket DV II to use for videoing the flight for my 1.20 Ultra Stick and it carries the camera very nicely.
The DV II has less quality than the pencam and others, but does have the audio and I use a Compact Flash card to get about 13 minute long videos. The videos have nice quality in the original video that I took, but when I put the clips on the computer, the quality and size had to be reduced. You can see pictures and examples of my setup in the links to help you get ideas or help you get a feel for the camera.
The camera will record video when the LCD is closed. When I take off I turn on the camera and video, then when I land I turn it off. On the glow planes, you will need to insulate the camera to reduce the vibration of the engine to get nicer videos.

I have Windows XP on my computer and for some reason the sofware to upload your videos and pictures to the computer would not work. I emailed Aiptek multiple times and never recieved an answer...I was not too happy. It dawned on me that my photo printer had a port for Compact Flash cards, so now I am able to get it uploaded. If you have XP I hope that you do not have any trouble.
If you have anymore questions I will be glad to help,
Thanx
