Hi,

I'm new to heli's, having just about figured out how to fly a fixed pitch heli. I've just bought a King V2, and can't figure out what's happening here -

i) The gyro goes from fast flashing on initial power up to slow blinking (it worked a few times initially, but now won't lock at all).

Can anyone please tell me what will stop the gyro from working? Is there something in the setup that can do this? (see note to transmitter below)

ii) I've binned the Esky tx, because the throttle does not work (pitch changes with throttle stick, but no signal to motor). I'm using a futaba zap (which seems OK except I'm not sure yet what settings to apply). However, I think I've got everything about right, but can't get off the ground due to the gyro not setting.

Has anyone else had this problem with the Esky tranny?

This is driving me nuts, so if anyone can help it will relieve my blood pressure!!

thanks
Mark

OK - looking through other posts, I figured the gyro problem. I had a pitch-rudder mix that was taking the rudder away from dead-neutral. The rudder now works and the heli spins up reasonably Ok for the initial setting.

Next problem is that the tail spins pretty sharply with changes in throttle setting. I presume there must be a mix somewhere that will adjust this - will keep looking, but if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great
