is it okay to join two 1200nimh 6volt hump packs together for more reserve power ? just by joining the red to red and black to black.
and i want to install it on my savage x 4.6 it wont fry the servos will it ? cos if i do join them it still remains 6volt

You need to hook them in parallel......this way you will have 2400 mAh at 6.0 volts.

yeah so i get both batterys and join the both reds and both blacks together , is that called parallel??? .


series is black to red or something , i dont want that , cos then it makes it 12volt am i right.

Yes, reds together and blacks together. If your using deans plugs you can buy premade adapters for this purpose. Here's a link. http://www.electrifly.com/powersystem/accessories/connectors.html

Yes, red to red and black to black. You still only have 1200mAh though, just more cells.

[]TEX[] your wrong he is doubling his capacity by paralleling two 1200, he'll now have 2400 mAh but the voltage will still be 6 volts. If he hooked em' together in a series then he would have 12 volts but only 1200 mAh for capacity.

yeah ok thanks . its the same thing as car stereo 12 volt battery just say you want more capacity and you get 10 optima yellow tops , you just connect all the positive terminals then all the negative terminals .

so heres what i wanna do connect both reds both blacks then into one plug to connect back to the servo's and it will still be 6 volt but have more power capacity of 2400mah. exuse my dodgy drawing LOL.
