Hi guys, first post.

This might b the wrong forum but i'll try incase.

I have a dragonfly 36. I had to replace many parts to get it working again, but she is now singing very beautifuly
My problem is this...

After getting the rotor speed up to round just under half throttle. I do a check on the cyclic. When i move the stick forward it moves forward AND to the left.
And if i move the stick back it moves back AND to the right - i did this "tail in."

Oh and one other thing was it seems that the only way i could eliminate some of the head shake/vibration was to put tape on one of my flybar paddles. I don't think that that is normal and would just like to check. I have measured with a vernia to make sure they were the same distance apart, it doesn't help.

Any advice/help on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

P.S : As far as i can tell, the swashplate is level

Just about all the helis these day do the same thing, it's a result of poor head design, they just expect the fliers to get used to it. If you want to correct it some customization is called for. The easiest way would be to make a new guide/retainer for the lower swash that offsets it a few degrees. Just be sure to check all you servo linkage to make sure you don't have any binding issues. Likewise, you could also make something to offset the upper swash a few degrees, again, check your linkage.

It's not too unusual for your flybar paddles to require balancing. If they're the same distance out on the flybar, adding tape to one to make them balance is about the only other thing you can do.

Mine don't do that, care to explain?

Winstar, make sure you have the correct swash set up on your Tx.

wow, cool forum
Decent replies

Thanks for the advice guys, but now i have a different problem...
It's the one about the tail...it just swings right no matter what.

I think the servo is gone.
Such a pain, because now, for the first time in ages the weather is good
Anyways...

Anyone know a good place to buy JR products here in the UK?

Cheers all and thanks again
