This is my first big build. I bought the plane flamed up in the bones.

I am about to instal the vertical fin on my 35% Edge. I'm wondering what glue to use to attach the fin.

I Am thinking that Exterior wood glue will do the trick. Seems to bond very well to foam and balsa alike and dosn't seem brittle.

But i just want to make sure that it will hold. Or do I need to use some 30 min epoxy or Gorilla Glue or something.

Thanks

Chris

poxy. You can do lots of reposition untill its perfect and still get a strong bond.

30 min epoxy. Don't play games.

Definately 30 minute epoxy. I also mounted a small plywood piece in the bottom of mine and attached it using a nylon bolt to a plate in the fuselage. Maybe overkill, but that sucker ain't never coming off.

i would definatly use epoxy, just put together a qq yak and used wood glue on the horizontal stabiliser and it jus squeezed out luckily it became loose during running in and i hadnt got it in the air so used exposy and strong as hell now.
