I agree, everybody is free to be "crazy" in his own way, as much as he can afford that,
and of course some are more than the others ...

Lets keep flying better at as low as possible cost = only that would tell the "story" to the
manufacturers and they will get better on their own turn indeed; nowadays they get so
much easy money.

I would not buy a 82 to pull a 60 size frame. Even that it could do, it wouldn't do it easily. I should buy the .91 or even the 1.00 which is very popular because of its size and power to weight ratio.
You can always go and buy a 2 stroker anytime as Que pasa says and forget about the world of the 4 strokers which are better in fuel efficiency, real in sound and easier to start, but that is your choice.
Answering strictly your question: You will never regret on buying a Saito 4 stroker, and you decide to not buying it, you will always thing on getting one sooner or later.

I agree with alfredbmor. While I LOVE my Saito .82's (I have three of them), I don't think they would be the best choice for a 60 sized plane. I have a 1.25 Saito on a 60 sized Edge 540, and it works well.

Too much power is NEARLY enough!
(as long as you keep it LIGHT!)

Now, about your question - why buy a 4C? If money is tight (and when isn't it?) you might look into a Tower Hobbies .75 (2C) for your 60 sized Venture. As for my own personal preference, I find myself buying nothing but four strokes after getting my first one. I guess you could say that I am becoming a four-stoke man! There is nothing wrong with 2C engines, I just like the throttle response, the sound, and the power band on 4C engines better.

Of course, I am paying a lot more money to get those things. However, the way I look at it, my daughter and son-in-law are doing just fine on their own. They don't NEED no stinkin' inheritence!
