Well I finally broke down and spent the 30 bucks on the losi lipo....first lipo I have ever had. I have no clue how to charge it...and by that I mean amps, mV, mAh etc... I didnt get the charger, just the battery, and I am using my trusty Superbrain 977. I charged it and .5 amps and 10mV and it took like 4 minutes to top it off. Took it outside, ran it down to nothing (best upgrade yet!!), brought it back in and put it on charge again. Well 4-5 minutes later it beeped again and it didnt have near the power it did at first. So I discharged it at 1a, then recharged it. It's a little better but not much. it didnt get hot either, so thats a good thing. But can someone tell me some good settings to fully charge it in around 10 min? We actually have a class at my local track for these and I dont have 1 1/2 hours to charge it....

the losi charger is well sorth the money for the piece of mind. mine charges in ~ 45 minutes, and the car runs for ~ 30 minutes, maybe more.

as for your charger, i am not familiar, but i can tell you that 4-10 minutes for a charge is not good at all.

You don't discharge a lipo, you will damage the cells. If it isn't holding the charge you most likely damaged the battery by running it completely dead.
