Hi,

Just to share this info with you... Right today, I was just about to recharge my LiPo battery for HB FP, using that stock orange Esky EK2-0851 charger... As I did many times before.

Right when I pluged the battery in for charging - there was a sound like 'shhhhhhhhhhh...' from inside the charger, and portion of smoke from within the charger.

And that's it - now I need to order a new one!

Anyone had the same problem?

If noticed that it gets really hot during use. I use my other Lipo chargers rather than risk using the stock one. My advise purchase a good charger you'll end up needing it down the road anyway.

OK... Now that I've ordered a new one, I tried it and yet again the same thing!
I feel really frustrated - this crappy charger gets so hot, that it melts a little bit on the bottom side!

This is really crazy!

Can you recommend some better charger for these HBFP LiPo 7.4V batteries (one not too expensive, but still good enough)?

if you can afford the cellpro, that would definately be your best bet It's a really nice lipo charger for about 60 USD

Also if you take these little chargers and set them up so they can get some airflow around them that really helps as well, or face them so the long flat side is facing up and down and the short side is parallel with the floor. That helps the heat disapate better.
