Does anyone know anything about this engine? Webra specifications indicate it will spin a 14x12 & a 16x8 @ 2000/16000. That is a pretty healthy set of props, I have my doubts about this claim. If I'm wrong, thats great, but I hope it does turn that hard!

I'd have to agree, that is more than agressive.

Ya, thats my thoughts exactly. However, back to the question. Has anybody even heard about this motor? 25 years ago Webra would streach the imagination on their motors and I don't think anybody will see those RPM numbers spinning those props today either. It sure would be nice if someone with experience with one of these motors could tell us if those numbers are correct or not and settle it one way or the other.

I've got a Webra 91 with the Dynamix slide carb that was in my dad's quarter scale Cub about 25 years ago. I don't remember what prop he ran on it or what it turned, but it ran good. It's the only engine I've seen that you can notice an RPM difference with every click of the throttle stick. There's no way it would turn a 14x10, or anything for that matter, 16000. I think a lot of people get confused when they see a manufacturer claim of RPM's and their recommended props. They are two different things and typically the RPM figures are much higher that you'd get with a reasonable size prop.

Indeed.

The 2000/16000 is the operating range of the engine.

The 14/12 - 16/8 are prop recommendations. I don't think you can expect to see more than 9000 rpm on those kinds of loads. They are meant to keep things quiet.

It is not mentioned on the Webra site that the engine will spin those props at those speeds.

I had one once. Do not recommend. OS 91 fx is far better in all respects.
