hi Bob, i am going to buy a new 76 for the OMP Boxxer and iwas wondering how much fuel this motor uses? i'll be using either the jett 8 or 12 ounces depending on your answer.? thanks Ray Coletto

Hi Ray.... Thanks for writing... I have an 8oz bubble-jett in my little .76L powered Edge 540T Gives me a good amount of flight time. At full throttle turning roughly 10,500 rpm it burns a bit less than 1oz per minute. But it is very rare I run it at full throttle --- unless going straight up or doing some tumbing stuff. So the fuel draw is effectively more like .5oz per minute. Nice thing about the bubble tank is you can use all of the fuel without risk of uncovering the clunk as fuel gets low. So the 8oz tank runs more like a 10 or 12oz conventional tank. The 76L on the Boxxer should be a real nice combination. :) Bob

14x4W also runs pretty much the same with a regular blad 14x6

that engine must have some serious torque!

that is what it is designed for.... considering its not much different in size or weight from an OS.46 it is a very impressive power plant. key with this engine is to run it below 12,500 rpm. Any prop resulting in full throttle ground peak rpm between 10K and 11.5K is fair game.
