Hallo, my name is Adriano and I live in Rome, Italy.
It's the first time that I write in this forum, who is a real mine of informations and tips: I've only read and read again so far.
Well, after many, many years (about 35) I wish fly again a c/l model but I need an engine; actually in Italy is quite impossible find new engines for c/l with the classic venturi.
I have look for Enya engines, .15 or .20 size to start; so, does anyone know where I can find and buy Enya c/l engines in USA? It's a good choice?
Thanks for your kindness.
P.S. sorry for my bad and scolastic English, but I've studied it when I was young: fortunately I've a good bilingual dictionary.

There are other CL engines sold in the US. OS makes a few. Tower sells a .25 and a .46

Enya is not so easy to get in the US anymore. But you can get it from Kaz
http://homepage3.nifty.com/bluemax/MNT001.html

Also you can order them from the factory

http://enya-engine.com/index_E.htm

they are great engines. But take some time to break in.

Consider a brodak. www.brodak.com

I'd highly recommend buying an Enya through Kaz Minato in Japan. I bought an Enya 60-IIIB from him not long ago and he has been offering 20% off the factory price. Delivery was 4 days to Australia.

Thanks to everybody for answers.
I know that OS makes c/l engines, but I think that the new LA series is'nt no good like the old FP series.
I've FP .10, .15 and .40, all r/c: they are regular and reliable, never one problem.
On an Italian forum, I read that the LA series sometimes has troubles in the nylon cover plate (distorted) and in one case the cylinder nickel plating is go away....
However, I will contact Mr. Minato for prices.
Thanks to all again.

The engines you have sound like OS LA engines and are very good engines. You can get control line intakes and needle valves from tower hobbies. You can also get metal replacement backplates for the eariler FP series engines from tower hobbies also. So it is not expensive to convert the ones you already have.

Adriano,

I have an LA-S .15 and although I have little run time on it, so far it seems as good as my FP-S .15. Perhaps those who have problems with the backplate are tightening it too much. You have to get used to the time lag between when you adjust the needle and when the mixture changes in the venturi.

There were some plating problems with some later FP engines but I thought it was fixed by the time the LA was released.

There are lots of guys who are satisfied with the LA.

Hey, I heard through the grapevine that Enya just got a new Distributor in the US. B.J.'s Model engine service just started doing factory service and is their distributor now. I think their website is ( www.bj-model-engines.com ) .
