Status: offline 		hey does anyone knows if the ofna hyper 8 rtr top speed? and if it is a good buggy and if it acelarates fast and what is the rpm and hp???

Status: offline 		Most do not care about top speed except for youngsters, as when racing all out top speed does not matter as much as other things. Manufactures RPM and HP is nothing but a mathematical guess and is why some engine manufactures do not list this information, as it is not proven just a guess. I have the Hyper 8 pro and like it a lot but just not in to RTR, as they are not as good as the pro kits in any model or brand. As RTR goes they are OK like any RTR.

Status: offline 		that comes with a ofna .28 hyper mach engine with a 14 t clutch bell with that engine specs.

SPECS: Claimed Horsepower: 2.8
Displacement: .28 cu in (4.6cc)
RPM: 38,000
Crankshaft: 14mm SG
Carburetor: 8mm slide valve
Break-in Settings:
Needle Valve (high speed mixture)- 6-1/4 turns counterclockwise
from closed
Midrange Needle- pre-set 1/2 turns counterclockwise (do not adjust)
Throttle Stop Screw- About 1mm open from "just closed" position,
adjust opening so engine idles smoothly at low RPM without
engaging the clutch

i would say about 45mph on a real lean run.up the cb to a 18 it could do 55-60.

Status: offline 		They are crazy fast with a race .21 engine, 17~18 tooth clutch bell upgrade, and foam tires!!!

But most peeps don't buy this buggy with that in mind. This is a race platform, and buggy races aren't won/lost on crazy long straightaways...

If you intend to race, there is no finer platform for the money, but get the pro kit, get a good radio, good servos, and tires. Then go race.

Status: offline 		Stick a .21 and youll be impressed by the speed. Also if your getting an rtr upgrade the servos as there not amazing.

Status: offline 		You ever heard that saying [pay me now or pay be later]? In the long run you will have less in a pro kit then you will a RTR as once you get the RTR you end up upgrading it to Pro standards or close. If you are going to race get the Pro 8.5 and if you get the RTR first thing you need to buy is a set of CNC front knuckles that cost around $75 and this is just a start. The CNC knuckles come on the pro. All so the 8.5 is the updated 8!

You will spend it anyway (and more) in upgrades if you get into it seriously
At least you won't have redundant radios and engines lying around.
Get a good quality budget engine ($150-$200), hyper 8 pro (or 8.5) ($399), and a JR XS3 synth radio ($170) and
a receiver pack ($15). Total ~$750.

You'll have to build the shocks and glue the tires to the rims.

Just add motor/servos/radio/battery

Go to Nitrohouse.com and look at the kit details.
