ORIGINAL: gosa Thanks for sharing your experiences. I have a flight-power EVO-LITE 1345 as well. I flew it on one of the first flights, so I couldn't compare. The HK Lipos give me as long (or short.. 5min) flight-times, but they are 15g heavier. I connected a voltage monitor to the balancer plug while testing it and the cell voltages stayed over 3.6V at full load but it would still cut after a few seconds. 1 hour later, it worked ok agian, so that I suspect the ESC having overheated. I'm waiting at least 10-15min between flights now and had 4 flights in an hour recently w/o prob. Ok, the air-temp is 10-15C lower than in Summer now, that might help as well.. When I cut it open for maintenance next time, I will remove the shrink-tube from the ESC for better cooling and turn it around so that the heat-sink is in the air-flow. Thanks. I got a pack of korean cell to test out tomorrow if possible - the better ones I can find here in Singapore - 1300mah, 3s, 25c. With 40A esc, stock motor, the bat can only supply 32.5Amp. Will this setup work? Rather confused now as was recently told that 40A amp will draw this amount from the bat and will bloat it since it can only supply 32.5A. Some told me that 40A esc is better than stock with higher amp rating capacity to take on more current without thermal shut down. Appreciate your input.
