I have a number of cells purchased from Ebay. I would like to use them for receiver batteries and I don't want to buy a special charger. I have a lab power supply capable of 3A. I can control the voltage and current independently. With the maximum charge rate,3A, what should the maximum voltage be set to? How will I know when the cells are fully charged?

I am charging mine like you want to. I let a pair wired in series discharge to a minimum of 5.0v. Then I charge at 7v until the current is less than 10ma, thats when the charge is complete. Some might say that 7.2 is better, but I have not seen a difference in capacity charging at 7.0 or 7.2. The maximum current the pack draws is ~3.5A

Thanks I will try that
