Mine is the Beretta any year. I also love the vega's & monza. Im a big time G.M. guy but i also like the hemi very well. I have always loved the SuperCharged cars of any kind. I have a 1970 327 sb chevy 4 bolt main 525 hp stock block that i might re-Build and put a blower on it some day depending on money. and if i do I will get a Beretta and chop it up and Build a full tube chassis for it and set it up to be Pro Street. the 327 came out of a wrecked vette i got it about 15 yrs ago if not longer I had it a 1978 monza spyder for a few years it was a screamer I went through all kind's of clutches & preasure plates. I wanted to put a automatic in it but never did i pulled it and sold the monza and it's been on a engine stand since.

Yea them old boys sure got bent outa shape. they where awesome. they dont build them like that now days. - all the eletronics they use now delay box throttle stop etc.

I have always been a big fan of those older top fuel and funny cars from the 70s - Don 'The Snake', Tom McEwen, Garlits, Frank Bradley, even 'TV' Tommy Ivo. My dad and I were at the strip all summer. That was good stuff, and it seems like it was a lot simpler then... [;)]

Oh i agree the cars they run today are nothing them old timers. back then all it took to have a nice setup was a steady hand and a good ear and a little money put away. now days you need alot of sponsers and a huge bank account. with all these electronics now day's it takes the competition out of it. these cars can almost run by there self with out a driver. I wouldnt dought one day they will. I have a drag car to it's a 1971 vega i havent ran it for 2 years but it sure was fun dialing in everything on it prior to racing. I only ran a line lock/trans brake and a throttle stop. the rest was all up to me. if i had more time and money i could easyly get it back on the track and run points. i run a 508 BB mountain motor with a 2sp glide 14 to 1 compression. it run 9s if it put a good tuneup in it it could run in the low 8s.[:D]

I agree, the old days were so simple. There was no onboard computers telling the car how to run. If the weather changed you had to know how to make your car run accordingly. My little toy of choice is the Ford Pinto wagon. I put a 351W C4 auto in with an 8in rear/380 gears, posi. An S&W race cars 8 point cage keeps me safe with pro seats and 5 point belts. I'm not running any fancy electronics of any kind, not even an MSD system. It is all stock Ford 1977 Pinto stuff with a stock 2 bl v8. The fun part is running a mid to low 13 on street tires.

Is that at the Ocean city show last summer? We go to Wildwood.. Thats def not WW's boardwalk..
BTW- I had a RARE 77 Pinto factory v6 squire wagon back in the early 80's:) in college..

I HATE pro street cars with a passion. I don't see the point of them. Either build a drag car or build a road car, haha.
