Looks great...
That is the nice thing about kit building, most mistakes can be fixed
with a little extra work.

Thanks for the kind words. Over the course of building this kit, I have learned more from my mistakes than anything else. My main problem now is trying not to damage finished parts. My garage is seems to be full of sharp edged objects which some how have a magnetic attraction to balsa sheeted foam. If I bring the kit in the rec room, my son and daughter will use it as some type of playscape during pretend time. I can't wait to get it finished so I can find a proper (safe) place to put it.
Progress has slowed some due to work. I am grabbing as much overtime as possible so I can finish buying all things needed to complete the plane. I am alittle behind where I thought I would be but so far so good.

I finally decided on a color scheme for the Edge. I plan something very similar to Blaine Austin's scheme on his Carden. A couple guys at the field have similar colors and I have also looked at dozens of pics of Edges and his just seems to stand out. I will be using Ultracote since I have had good luck with it when I did some recovering on an ARF. Does anyone know the exact yellow and red he used? I think it's true red, cub yellow and black. If anyone knows, please give me a heads up.

The seiko and JR 8711 servos came in today. I forgot how big the seiko was but not as heavy as I thought. The JR's look sweet. Too bad that red heat sink has to be hidden ( love the bling). Not much done on the kit lately but I have friday and sunday off from work so I hope to knock out the elevators and finish the rudder. Just not enough time in a day.

Not much getting done on the Edge. I have been busy parting out a snowmobile and I was also able to find a buyer for my aeroworks and DA 100. Once I get all the sled parts out of the garage, I'll get started up agian.

I finally ordered the rest of the existing items I needed to finish the plane except for paint. I am looking at using the paint from radio south's website which is supposed to be matched to ultracotes colors. Does anyone have experience with these paints? As far as the build, I did get some work in yesterday and hope to get more in today. I'll post pics soon.

I'm still at it and making good progress. I'm just waiting to finish up some steps in the build to post the pics. The warmer weather is getting me excited to finish. Stay tuned.

What paint are you guys using ? Is there a paint I can use that does not need a clear coat but still have a nice finish?
