Ditto that! Pardon the pun, but it was a great plane! (Until my elevator linkage came off mid flight.) I sure wish Hangar 9 would bring it back!

On the verge of buying the individual parts. Emailed hangar 9 and asked if they would build more. Maybe we can get a bunch of requests to them and hopefully they will make more of these.

Bill,

If H9 were to re-introduce these, it'd likely be a limited run, and cost $350.00 (my guess).

Go to these web sites, input your zip code and search for local dealers.
THEN call each one to see if they have any unsold H9 Twist 150's on the shelf gathering dust.

Hobby Lobby International
Hobbytown USA

Any web searches for a site still carrying these will result simply in sites saying "Out of stock"
Any RC store's that might have any, won't be listing these on their web site.

Gotta call around, and around, and around.

Nice find on the Twist 150 Jim! Could you have mounted the engine up with the muffler down?

I like it inverted, looks cool, however I would ply and cover the top front just to cover up the bottom of the engine and mount..JW

Thanks!

Doubtful, as the muffler would be butting up against the eng mount rails on the Twist itself. Plus, as is, the throttle servo is in the belly below the stock fuel tank location. Mounted as you ask, I'd have to put the throttle servo above my voltage regulator, Li-Ion batt, etc., etc. Imagine the mess that'd make.

These don't really give us much room for too many installation choices.
I pretty much shoe-horned this in with no spare room anywhere.

I started this thread and 3 yearsa later it's on the front page. Thanks for your interest in this wonderful plane. I have mine and need to sell it for parts for my 125" Corsair. $750.00 includes everything. Saito 150 4 stroke only in this plane and only 20 flights on aiframe and engine. No hard landings and no prop stricks. Tru turn aluminum spinner and large tires with pants. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. The moderators will remove this quick so if you are interested in having a new Twist 150 with radio and servos plus battery let me know.

I have been flying one for three or so years with a OS 120 AX on the nose & with a DX7 setup. It is a hoot to fly! I also have a brand new one sitting on the shelf in case my old one ends up in hangar heaven! EEEEEK.................

I have decided to keep my Twist because it is going to be a collectors item and until then I will just fly it around and if it crashes since I am a builder I'll strip off the film and repair it and go at it again. I did a lot of reinforcing when I first assembled it.

Anyone have spare parts? I need to replace the plate that covered the fuel tank. Mine came off in mid-flight. I could make a new one, but I thought I'd ask if there were any spare parts out there. Don't want to buy the entire fuse for $160+.

Thanks.

I still have mine. Probably 40-50 flights. I don't fly it anymore and would probably consider selling if someone wants it.

I switched to profiles a while back. Lighter and funner IMO.

Page 1 has pics and the setup if someone is interested in buying.
