Outacontrol41,

I think you would make that up in fuel costs for the difference between gas/oil vs. glow fuel pretty darn quick. I just like glow engines for smaller planes and save the gas for Giants. Anything over 90" and 18 lbs. I go gas.

This is just my way though,

Gibbs

I just cut off the cheeks for easy mounting. Put in a couple spacers for clearance from firewall. The 75 bucks is pretty cheap when you consider the performance gains. AWESOME.

I get the message!!! I need a few more bucks to get the Twist 150 and G26 / muffler combo.....I like the sounds of all this. Deep down inside, I'm a gashead anyway....so that just makes my day!

Cut off the cheeks?

I wouldn't do that to such an awesome looking plane. It would ruin the whole thing. I would definitely go glow if I had to go to that extreme. Raptor 8 let me see a picture of your plane with the G 26 and the cheeks cut off so I can see how it looks.

Thanks,

Gibbs

I agree....send some pics please. NCIS, yea it's a pretty plane,,, but they designed the beauty part for the wings and the tail (stripes = flashy and bright) but up front is the business end of the matter........a matter of function up there.....functional POWER! It's not a true scale plane so I say anything goes! Hassle free gas power, I think for a plane this size gas could be just fine.

I want to see those pics too. I've had zero experience with gas motors. Does that mean you can go down to the local gas station and fill up a gallon gas jug for your plane? If so what kind of octane do you use? They have the 100% octane racing fuel at a few local gas stations here, could you put that in your plane?

Me and two other guys have twist 40's as well, this thing beats them is speed, climb rate, and take off distance. AWESOME. The 40's all have saito 82's on them and we are all running 30% cool power throu them, and this little gasser flies circles around them. And don't forget this is couple of tanks throu it from new.

snacker,

I decided to have the T-Pin inside so all you see is the hole I stick the dowel through. I also reversed my throttle arm so it would work.

Gibbs

Gibbs,

You got any pics of the T-pin and dowel setup? I'd like to see what your talking about if possible.

Thanks,
Snacker

snacker,

I'll do my best to get clear pictures that you can make out so you can see what I've done. A couple are blurry but you can still make out the hole in the Tru Turn Decal and the T-Pin in the high speed adjustment screw. The last one with the dowel inserted in the hole and on the T-Pin should make you able to see what I've done. I use this method mostly on all my cowled planes.

Decal,

I decided to have Callie Graphics make me 4 decals for my Twist 150. Small ones for the sides of the fuselage and big ones for the top of the wings. I think she will make the plane more pleasant to the eye. What do you think? Even the colors match red, white, and blue.

outacont41,

I just ordered them from Callie and the four decals were only $16.00 including shipping. Those knockers are worth every cent.
