I found my twist 150 on ebay for a 150 bucks or at least thats what i won it for. Cost less then my twist 40 pnp at 250 bucks but that what happens when you buy a plane that is assembled and all you have to do is put the RX in it you pay. I would check ebay may find a good deal. Might find one on RCU. Havent search around lately.

Still waiting for the manufacture to send my dang standoffs for my engine. Wont be placing anymore orders with this guy takes him forever to ship anything.

I guess i cold build the plane and not worry about the engine but it seems so much easier to get the engine mounting prepared with the fuselage empty. All i need are my 50 mm standoffs. wish i had a machine shop at times like this. .

Thanks for the input on the 26gt, I'm really hoping this engine works out well for this plane. Other then this forum haven't found much on it. My flying friend has the 60 with a 90 four stroke, its like a rocket.
Glad to see this thread thriving without any bashing going on. I think I'm going to really like this plane. I've got all the parts now except the motor.

Well Happy halloweene everyone I finally got my standoffs for my engine and spent the whole day working on it. still have a ways to go. Have to figure out the throttle setup then i think it will be good. And a little epoxy on the firewall and away we go off into the Wild blue yonder.

Seems to balance out very nicely with this engine So far, may have to add some weight to the tail. But i'll check the CG before i do that. If its anywere between the recomended CG. I think i will just fly it.
Heres my progress so far.

Body bags are too good for these so called 3D planes by Hanger 9. I've had my fair share. Twist, Funtana. Great Planes is no better the U can Do still has the fuel tank too high and the knife edge doesn't get it and then the HAK is out of the question. There not even good to learn 3D on. Been there done that! They need a good stomping. I know you guys love these twists but put an AX 46 on a 4 lb profile and you will be calling these Hanger 9 planes heavy easy to break JUNK! I do not mean Tower Hobbies P51 POS profile I mean a MoJo or an OMP Edge 540 then you can talk real stories that are true. If you havent tried a good 3D profile you are wasting your money and time! This is not degrading it's the straight up truth!

Yes MoJo there is a size to match every one of Hanger 9's sport planes they call 3D OMP has the same match up with real 3D results! You only have to try one to understand. You bang your twist tail on the ground and go pick up the pieces. My Mojo bangs the ground everyday. How could several designers, design out of there basements with out R D funds and make a plane that takes the abuse I dish out and these real BIG TOC designers make the plane so if you trip on the grass the fuse breaks in half. This is a cottage industry not big business. Do your self a favor and stomp a twist today!

if the twist is as strong as the tribute, invest in glue.

I had a guy tell me that if I wanted to learn 3D then get a profile plane, Problem is they are so ugly and unreal looking. You gotta admit that the 150 is 1 sharp looking plane

I'd say calling a profile which is all you see of any plane in the sky ugly, is flaming, degrading, insulting. But you have to see past your nose to see any plane in the air!

Guys, the last few posts have me curious about your flying skills. I love the Twist and own three. I wrecked my first two .40 sizers learning and now I'm a much better pilot with my .60 and about to upgrade to the 1.50 size. One thing kerwin50 points out is they're (3D profile planes) ugly. Well said. You can bash H9 and the Twists all you want, but they make all 3D profile planes look like POS when compared sise by side. Furthermore....if you're banging your Twist tail against the ground, either punch the throttle to avoid that matter or learn how to 3D properly! If you need a nice soft padded foam profile plane to compensate for your questionable flying skills then by all means get the softest thing available that you can't hurt. Us real men (and women) have the skills to fly something made of balsa and not be afraid to break it. Nothing against soft skinned profile planes, I'm not countering your statements by bashing them, but the Twists, Funtanas and the like RULE the day. Don't believe me? Look at the long threads thriving about them on this forum. Happy Halloween.

Hmm, how is a square boxed Twist any uglier than a flat fuse? Its not like the twist is a 30% scale bird....

I agree outa, I don't know why someone would choose to come into this thread and start bashing a particular plane out of the blue. I have a profile, and it's ridiculously easy to do any 3d move you want to. The profiles are good to learn 3d on, but it's sort of like playing a video game with all the cheat codes activated. Fun, but not very challenging. I know I shouldn't have fed the troll, but damn people like that are annoying.
