what fuel would you use for the Xtreme Fire Green 2-Speed 4WD Off-Road Buggy Car ? please reply

HpiDrifter420 -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/22/2007 10:37:05 PM)

id use Bryon Race 3000 30% Nitro

AllAboutFunHobbies -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/22/2007 10:44:02 PM)

For a beginner I would use Traxxas 20%. Traxxas fuel has ignitors in it that make engine tunning a little easier for a beginner.

HpiDrifter420 -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/22/2007 10:47:12 PM)

i dont have a problem with tuning my mach427 on the Bryon Race 3000 30% Nitro. its just as easy as putting traxxas top fuel in and retuning it to that fuel. i prefer bryon or odonells over top fuel.

danamotocross -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/22/2007 10:49:53 PM)

so it doesn't matter what fuel u use. the 20% would be smartest?

HpiDrifter420 -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/22/2007 11:14:46 PM)

it onli matters if your motor cant handle the nitro content. a trx 2.5 motor will work best with 20% my mach427 runs cooler on 30%nitro. i just looked it up and its a .18 and a 1/10 scale so 20% would be your best bet. just get a quality fuel.

danamotocross -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/23/2007 12:03:05 AM)

alright

i would suggest using 20% fuel, byrons, odonells is best

nitrolambo88 -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/23/2007 3:01:10 AM)

ive been running with 20% traxxas top fuel...it seems to work best for me

StephenW -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/23/2007 5:26:53 AM)

20% blue thunder sport. [sm=tongue_smile.gif]

{GBI}Harryball -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/23/2007 12:53:58 PM)

O donnels. 20%[:)]

AllAboutFunHobbies -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/23/2007 1:15:29 PM)

I also Use Racers Edge 20% Race Formula

StephenW -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/23/2007 8:00:22 PM)

basicaly just get some kind of 20% [:D]

danamotocross -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/23/2007 8:42:17 PM)

what fuel would you use for a .15 engine?

HimotoRacingUSA -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/23/2007 8:43:57 PM)

same, 20%, basically any rc car/truck/buggy engine any size, i would use 20% unless your racing.

HpiDrifter420 -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/23/2007 8:51:34 PM)

ive noticed that with the big block motors .26+ that with 30% the engine temps are cooler

HimotoRacingUSA -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/23/2007 8:53:06 PM)

sometimes but you usually have to add a shim to the head.

AllAboutFunHobbies -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/23/2007 11:22:02 PM)

They run a ton better on 30%. There's alot more crank case to hold that extra nitro instead of the oil laden 20%. Nitro is one of the components that helps cool the engine, kind of like radiator fluid in your car.

HimotoRacingUSA -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/23/2007 11:56:09 PM)

huh? nitro makes the combustion hotter, not cooler, why do you think you have to richen the needles and run a cooler plug? why are you telling these people that it runs cooler. 30% will wear your engine out quicker than 20%, there is no reason to run 30% if your just bashing in your back yard

AllAboutFunHobbies -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/24/2007 12:32:01 AM)

Nitro is a cooling agent, that's what makes your hands feel cold when it evaporates. Nitro and methenol mixed together make the combustion and stabalize each other, the oil is so the parts don't wear out prematurely and to help cool by lowering the friction in the engine. Using 30% nitro with 20% oil won't damage the engine any more than running 20% as long as it's tuned properly. I've run 6 gallons of Racers Edge 30% through my STS motor and all my cars and they still run like new. I see you had to come over here to start trouble, must be bored on the Redcat forum.

HimotoRacingUSA -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/24/2007 12:36:43 AM)

not start trouble, came to help. you shouldnt be telling people that 30% will make thier cars run cooler, most of the people in this forum are new to the hobby and will listen to what you say, if its richened and a colder plug installed it will. The nitro makes a hotter explosion in the cylinder thus it will run hotter unless you richen the mix and change the plug.

AllAboutFunHobbies -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/24/2007 12:39:38 AM)

You'll be ok, don't worry.

{GBI}Harryball -> RE: what fuel do you use (8/24/2007 12:55:14 PM)

OMG, two pages on what kind of fuel to use. Its good to see eddie is back. [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

jonnymobil -> RE: what fuel do you use (10/24/2007 4:46:22 AM)

yup.nitro is a cooling agent untill it combusts.

HimotoRacingUSA -> RE: what fuel do you use (10/24/2007 11:45:27 AM)

what happens once a higher percentage nitro combusts? its a hotter combustion, thats why you need a cooler plug to make the higher nitro run cooler than lets say 15-20%
