Status: offline 		I have just purchased a firebird xl and was wondering if I could use my old charger to charge its battery faster than the 3hr. charger that it comes with.?

I have a Hobbico AC/DC Variable Rate Charger model 910 (it dates back to when I used to run my RC10 -- first team edition with the gold aluminum tub! Anywho, is has charging rates on the front of the charger and says that a 900mAh battery will charge in 15min on 2.7A.? Will I kill the battery if I use the quick charger?

Also, to set the current do I just use the adjustment knob? There is an amp meter to read the discharge and charge, but the knob just says low and high.? Do i just put it in the middle somewhere?

any and all help is always appreciated

Status: offline 		The battery in your XL is NiMH and 3 hours is about right for the fast charge time. Using your timed charger will eventually toast the cells.
