UMMM the flywheel should be locked in place thats what spins to make the clutch spring out, if it's free spinning it can't lock in the clutch as it should

no its not normal, either you need to tighten the nut more or the flywheel has too big of a collar opening.

if there is an indentation for a collet in the back of the flywheel you need one

well when i got my volcano it was brand new.about three or four times i used it .the trans blew apart.when i fixed that a mounth later one of my front controll arms snapped because they are plastic. so i wanted to get chrome lower arms.but redcat dont make them so i got savage ones and from their i just kept going with savage parts because they are stronger.plus with this setup its four inchs taller and the savage shocks are more stronger ill be putting more pics up soon because it is not finished yet.plus i got six neon lights under the bottom plate that are green looks cool at night

rich22,

Do you have a item listing for your volcano SV mod? I am more interested in the A-arms/dogbones/hubs and wheels. I like how wide you have your redcat sitting.

Yes there is a few things you can do on porting and yes there is a notch on the sleeve that has to line up with the notch on the block you can go here and it will tell you how to do it.

Still waiting on other parts to get here a manifold and tuned muffler haven't really got to try it yet been waiting for ever for parts, I do know it has a lot and I mean a lot of compression, I can tell that from pulling the pull string

Why don't you run it with the stock exhaust?? It will feel considerably different with the new pipe so you wont know what the porting did. Try it with stock exhaust then throw the pipe on it when you get it; that way you feel the difference both mods did.
