ok guys i got a problem.i got a dtx 18 in a volcano,it was running great.i powder coated the head. put the head on and put a duratrax fuel tank with a primer in. the fuel line is on the bottom of the tank.the line goes up slightly to the carb.now the tricky part.the darn motor wont start.it wants to start but it spits fuel out were the head gasket is.and the motor locks.i know its flooded.but no matter what i try it wont run.any chance the head gasket is leaking.

did you get a new gasket, or did you use the old one. I'm pretty sure you would want a new one. Did you powdercoat the bottom of the head? That could be the problem also

I bought the direct drive and 13 tooth clutchbell, and i've had a couple of issues. First of all i had to find another washer to fit on the end of the cluthbell, and it still has the very slightest of wobble yet. Also the direct drive system seems to have like a guard or mud flap like thing that goes over the cluthbell, and i now can't put my upper plate back on.
So, should i grind down the guard thing on the tranny, and do you think the cluthbell will be allright, or is it going to strip my spur gear?

Did you put new Bearings in the Clutchbell when you Modified everything?
Lol, it would have been a good idea to replace em. They take a lot of abuse and wear out quick.
Dont use the STOCK redecat bearings either. Pay an extra $5 for BOCA bearings. You can get em from Clermont....
