Nah, I've got another (brushless) Blitzer Beetle for running.
This one will remain a shelfer.

It is! Just built and forgotten.
It only has some small scratches on the roof from storage and the front license plate holder is missing.

i never had a wheeling problem, but when i jumped it i landed on it hard a couple times. never had a problem with it digging in.

lunchbox wheelie bar. it will help a little

Thanks! Any wheelie bar ideas?

Chicken-man - I got an LB wheelie bar, and was putting it on the Stadium Thunder. But the bar is shaped to fit the curve of the LB/MP transmission case. As a result, it wiggles up/down as mounted on the ST tranny.

How do you keep yours from slamming up/down during hard wheelies on it, digging into the case? I was going to try and cable-tie some foam padding in there, but it's kind of a hack solution....

Well here is one of my current projects. I got this car a while back free in the box I got my one of my stadium blitzers in from ebay. I didn't even know what it was at first but made use of it now.

My FREE Futaba FXT w/Dyna Blaster body and wheels.
This kit still needs bearings and motor ect. but I think it's going to see some use at the parking lot.

I have a good friend with a Tamiya Stadium Blitzer. New in box, only the front end was put together. This is NOT the repro. It's the original one, body still unpainted and stickers still perfect. Anyone have an idea what it's worth? I looked on Ebay and could only find the repro's. He's asking me to help him find out what it's worth before he sells it. Also, should he finish the build or leave it as is before selling it. Thanks

To me? Less than a new one. These things have no real vintage value as far as I can tell. My self l've began to collect falcons and bear
hawks.

if it was worth anything, it isn't now that they re-released it.

Well , here is another member to my blitzer family.  New build , old parts going to run this one.

Got a line on a sweet Bear Hawk . Hope to have it soon.

Feel like I'm talking to my self now the Blitzer was re-released but there is some great cars out there with this chassi that could find a home here.

opps this  post , I realy want these tires and wheels , where can I get them?

Some news here.

Was dissasembling my hardly run Bear Hawk until I discovered this:

The previous owner totally hacked up the right gear case! Why? No idea, maybe he was trying to fit a bigger motor or something.
What a mess! You can even see the gears through the hacked part! There goes another 'low budget' project...
I have a new gearbox housing and some other parts on the way.

Did the original blitzer beetle have a resin body? Does it get all dinged up under use ala the original Blackfoot?

Hmm.

Am considering getting just the body and wheels/tires (if available for reasonable $$) and swap it on my Stadium Thunder for kicks now and again.

Yeah, easy conversion.. you will need some part trees for the body mounts, but you can get them easily.. (that's what I did)

Awe but I bet the black body will still be the hot ticket to get. Thank god the new ones are white. Roll on originals!  Out camping in NH and it happens to be a RC rally  here. Lots of traxus stuff  but me and my 3 year old boy are bumping old school tamiya!! Getting props for mu boy whipping  a stadium thunder and myself a Blitzer.

This just in today.
Keeping with the blitzer chassis.
Very happy to add this one to the family, now if I could just built a bear hawk out of all these left over parts.

Were the magic happens
