Tommy BOy - Use the search engine here, type in "Corona" and get ready to read a lot of helpful material. A four channel radio will fly the Corona but if you have thoughts of moving on in this hobby to a collective pitch Heli, then buy all the radio you can afford. Just be sure it has at least 6 channels and has heli functions. Most all of us have multiple battery packs so we can do just what you said..........reload and fly some more. Welcome to HeliWorld. You are goin' love it and the Corona is an excellent place to start.

There's literally ton's of pages of information on the web for electric heli's. In addition to all of the information on the Corona, don't skip over the Hornet, Piccolo, etc. as much of the information is transferable or general to heli's. The same goes for the LMH 110 and 117. Although they're gas, they are the base design for the Corona. Your biggest problem will be information overload and trying to decide what will work best for you.

To answer your questions:

- A 4-channel transmitter is sufficient for the Corona. However, if you want to fly a CP heli, you will have to exchange that for another unit.

- The LMHs are supposed to be good beginners helis. Depending on circumstances, they may be your #1 choice.

- The battery pack is not an integral part of the heli. If you have more than one, just set the heli down, take out the empty pack and put in a full one. Don't forget that a battery pack for the Corona will cost a minimum of about $ 35,- depending on the type of cells.

Just in case you weren't aware: Apart from the heli and the parts not included in the kit (servos, gyro, etc.), Tx, Rx, and battery pack, you will need a charger, and - depending on the charger - a power supply for it if you plan to plug in your charger at home.
