Here is a new kit release of the Shoestring. Fully compliant with the F1 Sport rules.

http://topnotchkits.com/index_files/TN_Kit5.htm

Great thing about the Shoestring is that there are a number of full size that were built with slight modifications to the wing tips, and tail shapes, that this kit could be easily modified to recreate. This one appears to be the '49 version of the Shoestring, but off the top of my head there is also the '73 version with a squared tip wing with clipped tail. Others include the Yellow Jacket, Ricky Rat, and the Wagner Solution.

Wow.. I just went to their website, and perused the instruction manual. What a set of instructions! Looks like they've put a lot of work into this kit.

I saw this model fly in our last pylon race here in Nashville TN in June. It looked very fast and smooth. The pilot said he really liked it.

I'm sure we'll see more of them at our next race on Sept 15. If you would like more details of our racing here in Nashville, go to http://www.mtrcs.com/

That model is produced just northeast of Nashville in Goodlettsville, TN.
