No I don't have one YET. Last I heard I hasn't come out yet. Did you hear that it is out? I know that it is in two colors - a blue one and green one I believe. I was just waiting for someone with more B@%%s than me to buy one first!!!
Any one else?????

Jeff

I have been looking at that model too. I can't tell if it is retract ready. The photos show the front gear hanging under the cowling so I am not sure if it's fixed gear or what? I have been wanting something with tricycle gear to fly and there aren't too many options. A T34 would be nice, but I haven't seen any I like yet. A T28 would be nice, but again, none I like. I like the fiber glass fuse on the Tucano and will get one soon if your reports are favorable

To let you guys know, KMP is coming out with a new color sceme on their tucano . Green with the white Z stripe down the sides. It is retract ready but I think it is bigger than the Nitro version. I think Embraer and Tucano s are the same thing right?
It is a bit larger and costs twice as much but you get that great customer support and a great set of instructions/hardware !!!

Embraer is the builder and Tucano is the model from Embraer...

Nitroplanes just dropped the price from 225.00 to 189.00 + shipping

Hmmm, would be sweet to do a high speed electric conversion of this plane. That price is amazing for the scale of the plane. If I didn't already have so many planes on the bench, I'd get this and be the ginuea pig, but alas, I must wait for some other brave person to pioneer the way. The retracts question is paramount of course, this plane would look retarded with the gear down the whole time. I've got some pneumatics sitting here doing nothing that could go great in this.

I agree this would make a great electric conversion. That's what I want to do with it, but need to know if it's retract ready or not. The plane would be a great fast platform for an EC project. Also, the canopy would allow the batteries to be replaced without removing the wing. Removing the wing is my No. 1 issue with doing EC at this time. Maybe I will just have to order one to find out

Well, I couldn't resist the temptation and bought one this weekend. I will have to look around for retracts and see what other things I need to do to make it a good EC plane. I'll check into those siera retracts and see if they are the right size for the plane. Have already have some mechanical retracts for a tric plane and some Robart mains, just need a nose gear.

Tell me it ain't so!! I was just on hold with nitroplanes sales ready to order the grey version- Are you sure Did you poke at the covering or anything? How does it look structure-wise for adding retract mounts? I was going to repaint/recover mine anyways, but don;t want a big build project. I may have to go with the KMP instead for another $100 which is retract ready

How about some pictures PLEASE!!!

Oh shoot !!! Already ordered. Oh well, I guess it will take a little rework. Shouldn't be too tough as I did the same on a P39 last year. Even with fixed gear it will be a great plane!
