Has anyone ever added vents to their I/O motor box to help prevent vapor lock which happens to be happening all of a sudden in our recent heat.....running with the lid up it's fine?

wroked at a marina during the summer and there was some guys with that same problem...i think they took theres to the shop...i think the shop ended up putting some kind of vent system in....

Thanks, my cousin fixed the problem. Not sure what he did, it's his Grady White.
