I got an older K&B .61 off ebay that I just strapped to the bench last night and fired it up. The compression is great and it fired right up. It's a great running engine!

Anyway, I just want to know the best fuel for this engine. I'm not shure of the age, but it's in great shape with GREAT compression. The stuff I run through my OS .25LA is %15 Cool Power, so since that's all I had last night I put 1/4 tank in it and ran for about 2-3 minutes before I shut it down to keep from upsetting the neighbors

I'm really happy with this engine and want it to last a long time for sport flying on my SpadStick.

Cool Power 15% is fine. You would even still have a good running engine with 10%. Make sure you don't over lean it as the CP has no castor in it. I like using CP whenever I can but feel better about running it in ringed engines than ABC. BTW, are you using a RC idle bar plug? The reason I ask is that C. Lee said I should use this type in the Veco 61 as it is a baffle piston engine.

I've ran Omega 10% in mine. It has a little caster in it. Mine did a little better in transition with thew OS #8. I at first tried the idle bar plugs but soon discovered that I did a liitle better with the OS#8. The top end was the same with either plug. I have 4 of them. What you have already done is fine as long as it works OK for you.

Enjoy

Jim
