Hi Shawn..... I am using a MAC 18x6 Classic prop..... I always use these plastic props for the first flights because the wood Menz get destroyed if you nose over or hit the tip, so first I get used to the plane landings and then switch to Menz or CF props.... If the noise does not come down I was thinking of getting a 3 blade 17x6....

Hi Zippi,

This baby for a 120 plane will pull vertical non-stop..... I fly my .90 CMPRO Edge the full IMAC with half throttle... I think if I use full it will tear the plane apart .... I had a 90 Super Tigre on it and it was too heavy for it, but now with this engine its like a feather...
I would highly recommend this engine for all 120 to 140 size planes.... Its around the same cost as a good methanol engine and with a 16oz tank it can run for 30mins or more.... This weekend if its now snowing or -10c I will take some more video and tach the engine... I am going to change that MAC prop for a Menz, it should keep the noise down, but I hope it doesn't pull the firewall out

Take care...

cosmospho,

Not really sure what weight your looking at but the ST .90 only weighs 27oz with muffler and the Brillelli 26ss is 45oz RTF. Anyway, this is a very impressive engine and as a prior owner of three of the Brillelli engine I know the quality is there. It will be interesting to see what your enigne is taching at but it sounds strong.

Sorry but I meant the plane was to heavy for that engine and not the engine for the plane....... The engine could not pull the plane around very well.... With the Brillelli now I don't need any nose weight and it pulls great and flies the plane wonderfully...

Well unfortunately I have some bad news

I was basically shot down on Sunday. I can't officially prove it, but I know for a fact nothing came unpluged, battery tested fine for 1 min under a 1amp load and ranged checked perfect after the crash. I have never had a lockout in 2 years with my WC2 but Sunday was the day where I had to watch my plane tumble to the ground. I had radio lockout maybe 800' in front of me and there was nothing I could do but watch it fall.

Power wise it looked pretty good... I took off within 10-15' and pulled straight verticle and just kept climbing. With the heavy APC The plane weighed 11.8 pounds and seemed to pull fine. The 26 turned the 18x6W at 8720 with not even 12 oz through it yet. Power looked like it would be ok but I got locked out within the first 3 mins of the flight so I really didn't get any time on it to do much.

A shame really.. I was looking forward to finishing the covering job and maybe putting a pipe on it just for fun.

Sorry the testing ended early.... I haven't decided what I am going to do yet. I lost my 33% at Huckfest do to a unexpected dead stick in a HA KE low to the ground. I have to decide if I am going to try and fix that and get an IMAC plane back in the air as well. So many things to do.. atleast it's winter I have a 26, a 60, and an 85 that all need homes!

This is the last pic I have.. I didnt even get one at the field together!

do you mean on the engine itself? I believe 6"

The yak needs 6.5" if thats what you are asking for.

Hi all,

Well my experience so far has been great. I have had about 10 flights with just over 1/4 gallon thru the engine. Its very economical and just runs wonderfully. I am now going to use a Menz wood prop 18x6, but already it has unlimited vertical and just goes up forever...

Here are some pictures of the plane :-)

sinergy,

Really sorry to hear about your plane. Sounds like the Brillelli 26scc was a good match for your plane. Two weeks ago I lost my new Pattern plane just after 5 flights. It came straight down on the concrete runway. It was destroyed so bad it was hard to tell what happened. I not only lost the plane but the new Saito 125 was a loss as well. It's like one fellow told me, once you get a new plane in it will ease the pain of the one that was lost. And you know we all like getting new toys in .

Ya Zippi... new toys are always fun. My list for this year is already long haha.

Bob.. should do just fine. You can also probably call Scott and ask him to make the standoffs so your total length is 6.25" instead of adding a 1/4" spacer.

i feel sad knowing that people are loosing planes/motors/avionics ... due to interference
intrinsic or extrinsic
you might want to try out the 2.4ghz, said to be bulletproof
i wish to use 26ssr in h9 f100x, you think ill get unlimited vertical?
thz

Well unfortunately there is no such thing as bulletproof and 2.4 is far from it. However neither is 72... so you pretty much have to make your choice and deal with the issues of each.
