I don't have it, but I have flown it...

it is the best small, full fuse electric I have flown...
it tracks great, flies nice in the wind, 3d's just fine.....

I'm picking one up when I sell another plane....

Thanks for the reply exeter acres. Did the one you fly have the eflite park 480 motor in it. I was just wondering if it has much power for 3D with the eflite motor . They say the motor only does up to a 30 ounce 3D plane. This plane could be 27-29 ounces so it seems that it might lack power with this motor. Thanks Tyler

I have one and i love it, i am using a different motor (lighter) the 480 would be plenty of power to 3D

check out my vids if you feel like it:

All the info about my setups is in the comments of the vids, to avoid repeating myself.

Doesn't this belong in the 3D section? Anyways, it looks awesome in flight. Would it be worth getting? Or should I go with something from Great Planes?

comparing the eflite260 to the great planes yak or extra330 is not even close to fair. This is by far the best eflite plane i have seen to date and the best flying.

the electrifly/greatplanes models i link to are of antique design, heavy on their wings and fragile as heck; look no CF wing spar, you glue together flimsy pieces of wood to form a spar; i would stay away.

I agree, the eflite 260 should be in the 3D forum, but it can sport fly and do aerobatics just fine too so it's a multi forum airplane There has to be a thread somewhere down there in the 3D section i think i even posted in it... Since the last video i have scratched off even more weight and made a few tweeks to the throws. it now has a wing loading of 9.49oz/sq ft. should be interesting.

Whats the K.E. capabilities. That's my most concern for a plane right now.

in my current super light form, the K.E. is superior to any balsa model of this size i have ever seen.

I can now do walking speed high alpha KE and alter from KE to KE at each end of the runway. It's like it already has sfg's

go for it you won't be disapointed but aim small capacity and high C rating in the pack department.

oh i forgot to mention; the side area is huge and therefore rudder authority and KE are incredible, but there is a little bit of coupling as the cg goes rearward into the fun zone; not worth dialing in mixes, its just there, like on almost every aerobat i have tried, we just have to deal with it.

Can you elaborate on small capacity and high C. I am new to 3d and electric sprt in general, and have been flying my e-flite extra with tp 2100's? What do you recomend with my park 480?

I mean look for packs that have a high power to weight ratio, lightest pack you can find that can dish out the amps your power setup draws. I.E. no sense carrying more pack than you need, every bit of weight counts. (IMO)

Interesting.
I flew a GP 330S last weekend in 10 to 15 mph wind. I flew GREAT. Tracked like it was on rails.
With the E-Flite 480 and a APC 12 X 6 prop in a 15 mph Wind the Vertical was unlimited.
It weighed 28.5 oz. with a TP 2100 Pack. Wing loading is not everything.

The cowl fits, not like the E-Flite 260's

I have one too. It flys so well and even in the wind..up to about 10-12 mph winds at that. it is very light. I fly with a 3c 2200 mah 23c battery and it has plenty of power with the 480. it flys like a champ and lands like a trainer. i have been flying with a 10x7 prop but a 12x6 is best. good luck.

Thanks for helping provide some background on this plane. I float between the MUS and MPXT threads looking for some comparison on this plane or the mini showtime 4D. Have you flown that one yet? I am like one of the other posters, very impressed with the videos, and 3D ability, but right now I am looking at the 260 as a sport/aerobat with some occasional 3D. It sounds like you think this is also a very good plane for that as well. I love the MUS and had purchased the MPXT to fly with my son via buddy box. I love to fly aggressively with the MUS and enjoy its maneuverability and speed.

I have a GP SU-31 profile foamy that I have modified with the Park 480 and use that for the small space 3D that I am capable of. Interested to hear if you would think the 260 would become my favorite plane, and how it compares to the mini showtime if you have had a chance to fly it.

a 260 is calling my name at the LHS
