hey guys. well the honeymoon is finally over. had my first crash with the BH450 this morning. . i knew eventually it would happen. i had been flying it for 3 weeks since i bought it.

damage assessment: carbon blades, landing skids, ball link on control arm. total cost= $35
most of the cost of damage is mainly from the carbon blades at 30 a pop.

anyways i'm going to upgrade the RX and TX from stock to my dx6. gonna replace the gyro to the GY401 and digital tail servo. i hope the repair and upgrades don't keep the BH450 grounded for too long. this is my FAVORITE heli thus far.

do not fly a lipo till it drops power or it will not last long at all. [your damaging it at that point] you need a good charger so you know how far your draining it down and or limit your flight times to 5 minutes.

I've seen those, those just came out. I hate the first 2.4 from futaba, doesn't look high tech. so you like it eh? Thats good, I was looking at the airtronic, looks awsome too.

I got the Spektrum DX7,as far as all the new radios "blowing thier own horn" They all are just copies of the spektrum. Spektrum, and JR (their parent co.) devloped the 2.4 tech. the rest are just copies,no matter what they say. The rest of the companys just sat back and waited to see how well the "NEW" radios went over, then when they seen that it was the "bomb" they all jumped on the band wagon claiming theirs is the best,or new tech. ect, "just like Al Gore's dad invented the internet", the fact is they all are just clones of the orginal! Sprouthouse,

Oh my, you should not fly the lipo until it drops power? Is there something I can add to the heli to give audible alarm? How can my charger tell me how long of flight time, I use the Align charger. I dont mind the 5 minutes, I can just use the timer on the TX but like most I guess, I have different batteries. I hope I have not messed them up, I have been flying until they start to slow on my V2. What batteries do you use in your 500? Thanks.

i run with kongs, they can take abuse but if i drain them low they will start to degrade like any other lipo.

my brain isnt too bad at the 80% capacity [for me 5 minute,s] but when i get the align 6s 2600mah lipo at 130 a pop you can bet ill be using a egg timer cause i dont have a TX alarm with the dx6

draining them low every now and then isnt that bad but definatly not good, draining them low everytime is throwing money away.

get a good charger like the FMA cellpro 4 at ka-planes and it will tell you how far your draining your lipos as well as individual cell voltage as well as how many MAH your putting back in. put the align charger in the classified,s and when it sells upgrade to the cellpro

the time is related to your flying style, hard 3D for me would be 4.5 minute and just FF i can get 5.5

Cooo atleast someone baught ur bh. So how is ur trex 500? Are you making a thread for that? Show us some pics.
Okay guys I received an email from ka-planes and there sending me the usb cord and software with a brand new
telebee/zoom gyro. They said they received a black hawk 500 yesturday doing the same thing all they did is
removed the keytech and it plug and played with telebee. Maybe that can be it because they say so. But gyro
sound good to me when I swap the gyro from 500 to 450. I guess my radio hate key-tech. LOL I can hardly wait.
Hope that solve the problem. When I turn my back I see my black hawk 500 se pro gp and it says FLY ME FLY ME.
But I tell him, I cant you are sick. Until I fix you then I can fly you. LOL. Well look how sweet she looks.
I have faith on ka-planes, they are great to deal with. Anyways hope I see more people buying these from ka planes.

Well trex is pretty tight but everyone seen them at the field. I had a black hawk 500 gp but it was a kit and I never finished it and so I sold it to
a good friend of my dad. Black hawk 500 is unique by the size and its a nitro. Motor sound pretty nice and better then my nitro offroad cars
or my on road one. But its more harder on nitro bird then electric. Because it deal with alot of engine maintain and tuning. But I am happy
with the support. Which I see sucess with ka planes and fell they will move straight forward. And my black hawk, its probably just a radio program
that is missed up. But it looks better then my pics or video. It's beautiful. But quality, it is a DAMN better quality then 450. And flight I wouldn't dubt it.
But I am getting a new gyro and wires and software and we'll see whats next. Who cares about problem, cares about these problem to get solve and
go away. And this is when ka planes support kicks in. So let's see, i have faith on them!! But trex, out of the box it does not fly and there is so much
stupid tweaking, that its crazy for a new person in heli game. You might find a ready to fly trex 450, just get you're self a black hawk 450 se rtf.
Dunno with the 2.4 radio though. Black hawk is nice and inexpensive. My heli did came expensive though but its because it is all about quality of
parts. Which it was quality electronic because of what I paid. It's all on you.
