I thought that the HH mode was for stunts,ONLY,guess I learned something else today. Do you guy's use the idle up Mode for just sport flying, around the field? I'm a IDOL UP CHICKEN ! Dose the motor rev up allot more in Idle up? I've thought about switching into idle up on the ground,at half throttle,(might not be as scarey) on the ground? Ron

the guy at the hobby store told me the only times he flys in normal is when he is hovering. thats all thats good for he said. i skiddish myself about idle up. but i showed him a couple of videos of me flying and said i should fly in idle up. hmmm i'll use it next time at the park for a couple of batteries and see how it goes.

Go ahead use it if ur interested on flying inverted. J/k try idle on on a simulator first or camp ur heli to the ground and use it so you can know what it does. I believe if u have
ur troutle in the middle and switch to idle up, it wont do anything but if u trottle down it will push ur heli down, trottle up and it will be opposite. But I kindof forgot though, it could
be opposite. I tried it but on simulator while back.

i used to fly idle up with my HBK2. but i crashed it once because i forgot it was in idle up before i land. duh. since then i sorta laid off of the idle up until i get better flying. i guess i gotta start flying like that again. hopefully this time i wont forget.

With the Spektrum DX6i I have the pitch and throttle curves set so when I go into idle up I do not have any increase in head speed. I like it like that so I have no worries about going idle up anymore because the heli pretty much stays the same except for the pitch curve has now got negative pitch. It only effects how quickly the heli goes up and down. I have my helis set up so the head speed gets up fast and that way when I fly, even in regular mode, I have more control over the cyclic.

I have the 450
Throttle Curve
Normal mode 1-0.0% 2-60% 3-80% 4-90% 5-100%
Idle up 1-100% 2-90% 3-80% 4-90% 5-100%

Pitch Curve
Normal Mode 1-40% @-2 degress pitch 2-45% 3-50% @ 0 degrees pitch 4-75% 5-100% @ 11 degrees pitch
Idle up is linear 1-0% @ -11 degrees pitch 2-25% 3-50% 4-75% 5-100%
I go into hover just a little over half stick on my collective. Works great on the BH and on my Axe CP. I set this to Finless Bobs suggestions on his videos and I like how it feels...It should work pretty much for any heli setup.

I guess i was not even hovering that time.. i was crawling my heli and it moved to the side.. too late to adjust the trim... it came really fast.. my blade hit zimba (a big stufftoy in the living room).. i learned my lesson.. lol .. i ordered a few more parts from gazaur and they double shipped me some parts.. i have 4 rotor grips.. 7 sets of flyrod.. linkages.. ball links ..4 spindle shafts ...etc.. I'm good for 4 more crashes after i get my BH fixed.. lol

LOL, do you atleast have a simulator? Bh450 still a bit harder to learn then a coax, just keep it low but not that low. Once u can hover low, go higher and things will get easier.
But one error you cause, good luck. What worse, when ur high and ur battery voltage drops, Oh **** watch out!!! Go and get those transmitter to usb adapter so you can
download fms. It aint that great as other, but will help you plenty. But things get harder if you're HELI IS NOT TRIM
