I finally got to fly the BH today. There was little,to NO wind this am. First thing I found was it was wanting to go into FF (this is from being trimmed to hover in 10-15mph head winds). I used the sub trims and got it hovering well, then went up to about 25ft,and went into forward flight. It still was accelrating, and I went to center stick. Then it went into a "nose high" attitude and started to try to go backwards. I landed and added some forward cyclic, and went up again. It tried to go backwards again, but not as bad,so I landed and added some more trim. This time when I would go into FF and let the stick go to center,it would just slow down,in a level attitude( coast,or glide) and stop after around 30feet! I landed and changed out the battery, and went up again. It flew GREAT! When I got going a little too fast,I would just let up on the stick pressure, and it would slow down,AND stay level. No square dancing back and forth! I came in to land and found that I have to hold a "little back stick" (not much) to hover. This is the way I thought it should fly,but could never get a trim setup lined out. I flew a few circuts around the ball field and they were "relaxing" I could speed up or slow down, and the heli didn't do any pitching at all. The advice |
