for dual lipos on one heli what there concerned about more then anything is running 2 lipos the same age\runs and make, model so there wear in and last the same amount of time.

if the 8s is over a 100w then your fine with that one. my hyperion takes for ever to charge the 6s 2600 at 50w

yeah... one set of my lipos has the exact same usage.. same make.. same model.. bought at the same time...the other set is coming with my heli...

the charger I'm looking at is 150w and will charge up to 7a...not that I need to charge that high...

http://www.****/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6443&Product_Name=G.T.Power_A8_8Cell_balancer/Charger

basically the same as the iMax8..but with the resistor fix already done by the factory to make it charge right

the price is right too

flew 3 packs on the blackhawk today. on the third pack i lost orientation due to the sun setting and the transition from daylight and night made me lose it. crashed it right into a tree at the park. .

elevator servo stripped, missing push link, 1 broken blade grip (right where the push link and blade grip ball link meet) everything else is good.

didn't even brake the main blades. . probably 15 bucks worth of damage. not bad. second crash with this heli. going to ka-planes in melbourne on Memorial day to get parts and fix it there. I wanted to upgrade the esc anyway. will get the 40a esc for it. maybe a new motor also. will update later. i have a feeling i might pick up a new bird while im there.

on the plus side my exi 450 will be completed tommorrow. . cant wait to fly that beast.

Has anyone ever snapped off the pins on the main hub that slide into the washout base? Can you drill them out and replace with some sort of wire? If not does anyone have a spare aluminum main hub for sale? I dont see it on Mikes site at Ka-Planes. I dont really want to buy a complete head assembly.

I would call Ka-Planes first, Bigairhonda....they may have it and not have it listed on the web site.
Noob...sorry to hear about your crash
I flew 3 packs in my BH yesterday and we had a decent stiff breeze of about 7 mph with gusts up to 10 mph. So I practiced my orientation in the wind....was a little difficult because I have always flown only with very calm weather. I then went and practiced my back flips which are looking good, tried a front flip which was ugly but made it through...then I was practicing my stationary rolls and did one with the wind...well that was almost a disaster! wind carried it right very fast and then pushed it down, I thought it was over but I managed to save it about 2 feet from the ground...talk about a heart stopper! But I calmed down and even flew out the battery with out landing

Noob, sorry to hear about the crash. We fly at a ball park, and the East end has a long tree line. On the West end it is wide open, and clear on the South also. We try to fly at the south end,or west end (not so good sometimes because of the sun is setting in that direction). We have crashed alot of planes/heli's by the tree line. They just blend in and disappear into the background. It's real easy to get disorented. We are allways trying to get in "one last flight" at dusk, but sometimes it's better to quit, and not chance it. Ron

Noob-That is the one that HeliTubbies bought...but he got his from the factory...I have been looking at those very closely...I really want one bad!
So Noob...how is the EXI flying? I have reconsidered and may go that route because of cost....I know...but I am considering the CopterX SE v2 and the RTC 450 Sky-Shark as well....just not sure which route I want to go.
THe Mars 480 is a unique looking heli...I lie it alot!

So...you are not going to believe this one...
I decided I was going to take my wife out for a late lunch and a movie today...I had been on line this morning showing her some of the helis I was thinking of getting and all the costs involved...
So any way we go out and I wanted to go by the LHS to pick up some servos for my Axe and a ball link I needed for my BH...so Deb, my wife starts talking to one of the employees about the different sizes and styles they have of Trex's...and I get my parts and I walk back over to where she is talking...she says to me "So when you called the Copter X and the EXI clones they are copying the Trex....right?" I say yes...they are copying the first and basically the best out there. All of the sudden she says "Well you should get this one then and not worry about the others" I was a little shocked at that moment and speechless...I was like yea right honey...let's get my parts and go and I will get something less expensive...she was like no...if this is what you want why not get what you really want...She said build it the way you want...now folks...I was floored by this...usually she is very good with our money and she does an amazing job keeping me reined in most of the time...but she let me go wild...
So I am the proud new owner of a Trex 450SE v2 with the Align motor and ESC, Thunder power 2070mah 25C and Flight Power 2070mah 25C batteries, Hitech HS65MG servos for the cyclic, Futaba 401 Gyro with the Futaba 9257 servo on the tail...
So guess what I am doing this long weekend?
Deb wants to take pictures as I build for the family to see so I will share them with all of you as well...Hopefully I will be up and flying by Monday...

Noob...too late dude...Read my post above. I bought a TRex 450 SE v2 today. Exactly the way I wanted it...Hitech HS56MG servos, Futaba 401 with Futaba 9256 tail servo...
SO my next heli is going to be the Mars 480...but that will be later...With the BH450 and now the Trex I should be set for a while....plus I can get the Axe up and flying again so that would be 3 Helis...well 4 if you count my CX2
