Anyone used the Fly Sky 2.4 ghz TX with Pheonix sim? Saw posts here on wfly but my TX says Fly Sky on the front of it. This is the stock controller from Ka-Planes. Anyway, wanting to get a sim and Pheonix has a Trex 450 so thought to go with that. Just wanted to know if my TX would work with it.

Hello All, Just recieved my BH 450 SE from Mike at KA Planes a couple of days ago. Probably won't get in a test flight for a few days yet, due to my workload at my place of employment. I have enjoyed reading the posts here a hope to add a few of my own...

I have a telebee to set up on stock 2.4g tx. I don't know which way servo wires plug in the gyro and where the atv should be set at or thegain on the gyro to be set at. the yellow single wire goes up or down on the rx? Do I have to disconnect the tail servo and set it up again? I got the heli from ka planes and they set it up for me. Could I just swap out the stock hh gyro for the telebee? I feel lost. Please help me out if you can. Much appreciated.

Gord

I was up till 4 am last night working on my BH i finally decided to pick up a 2nd gy401 from the LHS to go with my BH along with the 9257 servo.. mounted the tail servo facing downward, a straight shot for the carbon fiber tail link rod looking from underneath.. It was a very good learning experience specially that i had to rebind and program the DX6i to my BH.. The BH is hovering great this morning, very similar to my mars coz the two has the same head.. Life just keeps getting better!

the 401 and 9257 is a great combo.

Gord - The telebee gyro with the single wire is the sensitivity wire and goes to the rx channel 5. There is an equivalent black, red and other color on the other plugs. The "other" color is for signal like you need for the gyro. Set it up with the gyro and see what it does. The tail is probably ok and adjust gain on the radio if you need to have it hold different. There is also an A and B switch on the gyro. If the telebee seems to do nothing switch from the current A or B.

We're here...just busy doing other things. I'm still debating getting an Align 450 to avoid the elbow-link play, and to fly a heli that doesn't bog down when flying it.

Finally, yeasterday I brought my BH to the park instead of pissin aroung hovering in the driveway. I finally have my telebee set up properly and the heli is trimmed almost perfectly, could do hands off for about 5-8 seconds At the park, it was my first time bringing the heli over 10 feet. Had it about 25-30 feet and did a couple of large circles. Wow, what a rush! It was my first time flying it instead of hovering. I had to land and take a breath. Brought it back up and lost orientation and crashed from around 20 feet. Broken blades, spindle shaft, flybar, and landing skids. I wasn't disappointed at all because I was still on a rush from the first flight. Came home, tore her apart, put er back together and fly's like a charm. This heli rocks! Tore my super skids off the belt cp and put them on the blackhawk. Sits lower now and seems to be better for the CG. Can't wait till the next park fly, it doesn't matter if I crash, as long as I'm having fun. Take care everyone.

Gord
