Thanks guys any help will be appreciated. As from what I’m reading and the lack of response from CJM it looks like it’s up to me. The lay up work in the mould, your are right lots excess resin running down inside the fuse. Ruff prime coat as you described. The cloth has not been laid down evenly lots of high spots and bubbles. As I said before with what I’ve received it can’t be built. I have doubts also about the wings that have been sheeted what horrors are under. The skins have only been attached with what looks like contact and that has lifted in places. I cannot seen any C/F in the ends as described in the sketchs/plan that I do have. On close inspection I think you should see where the fibre/cloth is between the skin and the foam. This I could see on my Avonds Rafale cores which were skinned.

First fitting of the mains in a wing section. Starting to look really nice!

You could be thinking about Roy Holt (RCU: Molar Mender), the CD of Jets over Whidbey... Its another BIG project to say the least.

This project looks really well done guys. Keep it up!

Kelly

I talked to a Vietnam Aviator last week, and He said that the Thud and the Voo Doo were the 2 Fastest low altitude Jets of that time.

Tom, it is on hold. Busy doing nothing. I have to cut a 1/7.5 F-106 for Ron S. I hope to have it done before Waco.
Sean, do you still need something cut? I forgot what it was but I know you wanted something. Butch 817-223-0779

It wasn't me, it was a guy out of Arizona that contacted me for an opinion on what he should do. I said get the drawings to you and pay you to cut the plug would be the shortest route I knew of, which is why I copied you on the email. After he gets that far, he's got some work do to, but that between your equipment and mine, we could help him get the project going. I never heard back, but assume he was still working on the drawings.

I'm on hold for personal projects, this is the busiest time of the year for me as the government has to spend all their money before September 30 (end of fiscal year), and I am filling up my war chests. But thanks for asking, I appreciate that Butch.

Ron, that is going to be super cool!!!!

Sean, just let me know when and we will do it. You can even come up and do it yourself if you want to use the machine. It's easy, if I can do it anybody can.

Thanks again Butch, like I said, I am swamped until first week of October. But after that, I will take you up on that, I am sure we can go over to Paul's and bring him into the 21st century with his equipment too!

I am particularly interested in learning from the ZEN master some of the carbon fiber work you and Dave were getting into for the F-8. If I could duplicate that spar system, it would be a substantial weight savings. I have always been too cheap to do my own learning on that because of my high rate of useless parts while I'm learning. Carbon fiber aint cheap like the good ole days.
