Dude , that's a crying shame I hope you are insured.
Man you must be livid.
I have basically all my cars in my room . i don't even want to keep them in the shed outside , just in case they rain wet or are stolen. This hobby can get flippin expensive.

Yes I am a bit Peed off, when I get a hold of mother nature I'll give her a good old fashion spankin.
I have drained the basement and recovered my gear. Have to throw all my chargers away but the rest I should be able to salvage.
Thank god that I waterproofed my servos, reciever and battery packs. Maybe they will still work. My controler was in the living room charging batteries for the remote control for my TV. Saved that.
I'll take my engine to pieces and give it a cleaning and it should work again.
Check the suspention and diffs for water contamination.
Rebuild my tyres as the sponges are soaked through.
Maybe with a bit of luck I can save most of my kit.
Starter box is still working no problem but the battery for it is dead.
Found my Tamiya sand scorcher bobing around in the water as the body is from a VW beatle and actually made it float around, that was pretty funny.
Belgium,

Hi Tubaloth, you already have a good engine. If you would like it to go a bit faster try tweeking it a bit. Its a sports engine not a race engine so mostly what you do to it inside will help get it to perform a bit better.
So whats the steering servo your going to put in it??? FUTABA???

Hi Tubaloth, if you want to port your engine to get the most out of it there is a forum here on RCU:
Go to the forums RC CAR ENGINES
then go to CAR NITRO & GAS ENGINES
then go to page 2, RC CAR ACTIONS "HOW TO PORT A NITRO ENGINE".
It works great and really turns the GX.21 into a screaming little monster, I did mine and it really worked a treat.
Good luck and have fun.

yo Tubaloth, forgot to say, when you've done that bit of work to your engine you can also get a bit more performance out of your engine by grinding the con rod to a knife edge and put some caremic bearings in side the engine block.
There are a couple of other things you can do later but we will get into that when you have finished the first stage tuning.
Hope this helps a bit.

Hey guys,
After 2 years of no use my US sports is running again!

Just a question, Anyone got any set up tips for tight twisty rough astro turf tracks?

Also I only just realised the rear hub carriers have 2 holes on the bottom for the hinge pin, what actuall difference does this make to the handling?

Also they have the 2 holes on the upper of the carrier. Now I know a higher camber link means more on power steering, Slower change to input which help on smooth fast tracks and a lower camber link is more responsive and better on tight twisty tracks.

What difference does the adjustment on the hub do? is it just so you have a huge range of camber settings?

Hi Lepecha, to tell you the truth I have'nt done anything (much) with the camber on my buggy since the day I bought it, I'll try the different set-ups this weekend just to see what happens.

By the way, Lepecha, can you post a photo of your buggy/Buggies. mine are on pages 57 and 58 posted by another member here called Reegsf, a good man who also runs the Kyosho buggy.

Hi Lepecha, would have thought you'd have painted it in the colours of Leeds United.
I'll see what happens with the set up off the suspention this weekend for you. Anything to tweek'N'twiddle with mine.
Also means building a quick tight'N'twisty track to experiment on. No problemo.
Later dude.

Haha, I liked the Yellow-Purple fade better.

Yeah, it can make the buggy handle a whole different way.

Hi R.Lepecha, sorry that it's taken so long to get back to you, had to work long hours and been busy in the weekend.
Hopefully I'll have the time this weekend to experiment with that set up question you had.
Later dude, got to go back on board. We are sailing to Calais today to deliver a ship.

Ello every body, last night I was playing around with my buggy when it started to rain, it was wet and slippery.
I went back inside, sat down and started to think about how to water/dust/mud proof my shocks.
Came up with the most simple solution ever.
Took a pair of rubber gloves (normally used for doing the dishes) and cut off the fingers, cut a tiny little hole in the tip of the finger (really small cut, maybe 3mm) and pulled one over the shock absorber all the way over the spring and up to the shock cap, used a zip tie to keep it in place.
Well it works pretty good and keeps my shocks nice n clean plus if I ever blow a shock all the parts stay inside.
Cheap n eazy shock booties.
Still sitting on my ass thinking what to do with the other fingers???
Stuffed the reciever in one and then all my receiver battery packs.(zip tie closed)
Looks cool also.
It stopped raining.
