Not a problem Nick. Thats what this forum is all about. Helping each other. Believe it or not, it helps me too. By taking pics for others, I keep building on my picture file. I have references for myslef in case I forget something when perfoming maintenance or troubleshooting. Dont hesitate to ask if you get stuck.

That is completely normal, because of the low maintenance design of the pullstart system, sometimes the cam doesn't lock in, it actually can happen from brand new. just gently pull the cord till you feel it lock in

mtb - I used my pull starter on the Kyosho engine a total of about 50 pulls, during tanks 1 and 2 of break in. After the blister developed I went QUICKLY to a starter box. LOL So I really dont have any experience with it. So getting to okies problem, does it need to be cleaned or lubed? I know it is different than most with a cam lock instead of a one way bearing. Just asking because I dont know.

I had a great weekend with the US Sports at a local track. I got a bit better and the car held up great considering how rough the track was. I did bend a rear shock though.
I was wondering what shocks would fit? I can get a complete new set from a Hyper 7 RTR of ebay pretty cheap. Anybody using a big-bore set?

Shocks - enlighten me!

gb: Im still going strong with the stockers. I did blow one but that was my own fault. I didnt clean them and left the greasy grit that accumulated on them. Well the next time that girt just sanded away at the shaft and eventually ate away at the seals until it leaked. To get back to your question, I did not have rebuilding parts. My LHS owner lent me his rear shocks from his Kyosho Inferno 777. They fit fine. I would imagine any buggy shock would fit? The geometry off all buggies is similar, so no huge differences where ones shocks wont fit on another. Thats my guess. But those 777 shocks fit fine.

My brother-in law is in the middle of breaking in his new OS V-Spec powered OFNA ST Pro truggy. So I got the itch and fired up the Inferno too. The last time I had it running was September 8th for the last race of our 2007 season. It started up with about 2 seconds of cranking on the starter box. Real nice. So I ran a tank full. Had to retune a bit since the last tie I ran it the temp was in the 80's. Today was in the upper 40's. Ran awesome. So now I really cant wait until April to race. Anyone else running thiers and getting ready for racing?

Hi, I just bought a set of Ofna 13mm big bore shocks. LHS never carry parts to rebuild the stock ones, so I decided to upgrade to a shock line they carry parts for which should keep me on the road more instead of waiting for parts.

Busta, let me know how you do racing? Yeah I have to wait until April. But...........its going to be in the mid 60's here on Wednesday, so I see the Inferno getting some run time. Im only 10 tanks beyond break in, so I havent seen this engine REALLY broken in. What engine are you running with? GOOD LUCK racing!!!!!!
