yeh i did where have you been jerz oh and also i bought set of big bore shocks instead of getting the seal set for the stockers lol. the big bores are way much stronger and thicker there great if your shocks ever break i suggest you get pair big bores instead of paying for the stock ones all the time plus the big bores have dust boots on the shaft so no nasty dust will rip my seal out again have you driven your inferno lately?

Busta - Been a little busy since this past Saturday. My wife gave birth to a baby boy. A future buggy racer. LOL The front and rear diffs are relatively easy to remove. Remove the 4 screws on the bulk heads, bumper on the front, and remove the A arm pins. Sway bars too if you have them. Also the hinge pin holders. i think that all to be removed? Been awhile and my buggy in not near me at this time. Then remove the outer half of the bulk head and you will see the diffs. You can just pull them out and the dog bones will slide free. Once you open them up, clean out all the old grease/diff lube. Install the new gears. Then fill the diff up until the lube is even with the top of the diff housing. Spin the axle output shaft slowly to remove any air bubbles. then top it off and install the ring gear. If you have filled them up completely, diff lube will ooze out of the 4 screw holes on the ring gear. Tighten the screws, clean off the excess, and reinstal the diffs. If your diffs have any shims, make sure you put them back as well. Take a good look at the diffs for shims before you remove them. The center diff will be the same except for the removal. This takes a little more time. You have to remove the 4 screws on the bottom of the chassis that hold the center diff in place. Yyou will also need to remove your throttle/brake servo horn. Lift the diff out and the front/rear dog bone will slide out. next you must remove the top plate that sanwiches the servo holders/bearings on the center diff. the brake posts will come out too. Then the same rebuilding process as the front and rear diffs. Just take your time, loook at how everything is installed before you remove anthing. Keep your manual handy so you can see how things are assemblesd. Give me shout if you get stuck. Now time to go feed my bundle of joy. Later!

forgot to mention...today was my first race coz I finally found the local track. I turned out to be much better driver than I expected, being the first time I actually drive a buggy on a track (I've always bashed in open spaces).

Three things I've learnt from my first experience:
- driver is the decisive factor of winning, not the best equiped car.
- the stock perfex steering servo needs to be replaced immediately for any serious driving/racing (mine broke in the race and I got a DNF...nevertheless I had a blast)
- The US Sports is a great car and quite competitive! Even with everything stock it did great on every part of the track, and the GXR28 isn't that bad compared to the other brands.

Great fun!

Thanks Rock and congrats on your first race. You are correct, its more driver than equipment. The fastest, most expensive equipment isnt necessarily the best. Yes the stock steering servo is weak. I too stripped mine in a race. My servo failure happened at a little better time than yours. I had just finished running in an A-Main, I wanted to drive it over to my pit man and it wouldnt turn. That happened two turns after the finish line. I now have a JR 9000T powering my steering. Great servo. A little on the expensive side, but very powerful and quick. You are correct, this car has potentail. When mine was completely stock, I would qualify top three in the B Main and usually bump up to the A. I would usually finish in the bottom 3 positions. Not bad for a $365 buggy racing against pure racers costing in excees of $1000. WIth a little modding like I did, you can do even better. I can consistently qualify in the A main and my best finish was 4th. So hopefully that win is not too far off in the future? But of course practice practice practice. Once we start getting relatively warm weather around here in New Jersey, Ill be heading to the track to practice.
Glad you found a track to race on. Have lots of fun.

I just changed out all my stock bearings with AVID bearings. Very nice bearings. Check out their site if you get a chance. They explain the thought process they had when they designed the Revolution bearing. One side metal sheilded, and the other side rubber sealed. Neat idea. One of the best things too is no matter what size bearing you get, they cost one dollar each. I got them in 5 business days.
