Get a starter box that has a 12 volt battery rather than one or 2 7.2 volt stick packs. Much more power and capacity. Yes the Kyosho engine is finicky. You can get a good one or bad one too. I got a bad one. I now have an OS V-SPEC and love it.

Hello Nick,

Just want to ask why you place the Servo link on the other side? did it improve steering? I place mine on the opposite side of what you have in your pic. I'm asking this cause I'm having difficulty turning. I don't know if I'm turning too late or the servo has small radius to turn. Can someone provide a top view picture of the inferno with the wheels on their extreme most right (or left)?

Thanks,
Jojo

Yes your steering link is on the wrong side. You will not get the full throw of steering like that. Switch it over, and youll have to change your servo direction. Reset your trim and EPA after and you will be good to go. No I dont have any experience with that brand of starter box. I have an OFNA starter box. Just make sure the case is not plastic. Plastic will not last long after you slam down your buggy down to the starter wheel to start it. Also as long as it has a powerful enough motor, and you have your 12 volt battery, you should be ok. Make sure it will fit your buggy too? Some boxes are for specific vehicles. 1/10th scale/on road/off road/1/8th scaqle. Would stink if the box you bought would not fit your buggy. Have a link? Let me check it out.

I think you should be fine. Except for a few more slots cut out on the box, that looks IDENTICAL to the OFNA box I have. Mine was able to start the GXR .28 with no problems. That was from brand new too. It now starts my OS .21 V-SPEC that has a tremendous pinch. Much much tighter than the Kyosho big block. Its also being used to break in my brother in laws .21 V-SPEC on his truggy. Thats a good box for a great price. Jsut make sure the box can be adusted to your buggy. By adjusted I mean the pegs will hold it securely and centered over the starter wheel. If so, go for it. Good looking starter box.
