Jerzferno - I think you are right regarding the steering linakge, I think the reason the one I saw was flipped around is because a turn buckle linkage is quite a bit bigger and it probably won't fit under the front upper plate when the car steers to the . I remember seeing a good article on the web showing how somebody did that exaxt upgrade to a US Sports - I will try to find it and put the link in here.

Hello Guys,

just like to ask on why is it that when i fire up the stock pull-start kyosho engine, it doesn't idle. What happens then is that the wheels go fast, thus i push the brake to have it stopped. But after the 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th start, i don't have that problem. It's only on the first start. I have checked the carb opening and its only about 1/3 open. Don't know if i did something wrong with the Radio settings though.

Appreciate the help and guidance

Thanks,
Jojo

Your carb is open 1/3 at idle? It should only be open approximately 1mm. Reset your idle. Also, make sure your servo is not holding it open when at idle. Sounds to me like it is based on what you are saying, "thus i push the brake to have it stopped. IF.............your throttle is not holding it back and your idle is set properly and this still happens, your clutch spring (if you still have the stock clucth) "may" be stretched. Reset the idle first and let us know what happens? I had the clutch spring problem happen on a differetn model. Drove me nuts. I kept reducing and reducing the idle until it would stall out. the wheels kept spinning. Took the clutch apart and the spring was stretched.

Tommy......glad I could offer some assistance. GB........I flipped the servo saver arm around last night just for kicks. It works, but interferes with the body. You can trim the body but there will be a hole in sight. I see no reason to flip the arm unless you decide to lay the servo on its side. Keeping the servo in its stock configuration (top) there no gain in performance flipping it to the other side.

Hi Jerz,

I'll try to check tomorrow if the carb's 1/3 open. I don't usually remove the Air Filter to check the carb opening. But my point is, why is it that it only happens "once". Only during the first start-up.

I only play during the weekend (sometimes even 2 weeks). So maybe that's why it happens like this. Thanks for the tip

Jojo

Jerzinferno - Thanks for that servo saver analysis. I looked at some of the manuals and found that the MP 7.5 Kanai has the servo saver 'inboard' however it uses a turnbuckle linkage. So I guess it should not interfere with the top plate. Also the MP 777 has the linkage on the outside for what it is worth.

A Main has the Kanai steering linkage, so I think that might be a direct fit to our cars.

Looks good. No time to research. Do you have part numbers, manufacturer, etc?

GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ Ram........I thought you left us. Welcome back. Looking forward to the pics. Not sure what body would fit? I guess the 7.5 body will? Thats what I have on mine. I tried the Proline Crowd Pleazer about one year ago. Its narrower than the stock body. Rubbed on the mud sheilds.
