Are you talking nitro percentage or oil percentage? I think you are talking oil. I know there are fuels with 16% oil, but not nitro. Are you sure you never heard of nitro percentages in steps of 5%? Man thats how they all do it. Send me a link of the fuel you use where it says 16% nitro. Im really curious.

hey guys

I got a question on shock fluids...

I run on a track thats mostly hard packed, very bumpy, and has 1 huuuuuge jump. I heard some of the guys around me say it is better to use 75wt oil.

Now first, do I use that heavy a fluid? coz in all these forums here, everyone's at less than that.

Second, is it 75 all round or different front/back?

thanks!

WOW thats a new one on me. Wonder if thats only available abroad? Never heard of 16% nitro? Thanks for the link. Rock - 75 wt is a pretty thick shock oil. You also need to find out how many holes are in the pistons? 75 wt with only 1 hole/piston.........the shock will move really slow. Might even blow them apart coming off that big jump you mentioned? Find out the piston holes these guys are using. If the majority of the track is flat and hard packed, then that is what you want to set it up for. Stiffer suspension would be best. But then that big jump concerns me. As far as front/rear shock set up goes, its all up to you. I use 35wt front/rear with one hole pistons. That works best for me with the sway bars, springs I use, and top/bottom shock locations I have. The thing about shock set up is what I like, you probably wont like and visa versa. You have to play around with this and see what works best for you. It takes time.

Greetings!

I am very close to buying a Kyosho Inferno. After some investigations I decided to buy a new Inferno US instead of a used Inferno Kanai/777 or something like that. Anyhow I was wondering what you guys recommend me to buy along with the car? (I only want it for weekend bashing basically).

What is required to buy with it except 12 AA batteries? And what is recommended to buy with it? Does glow plugs come with it or should I buy one (which one do you recommend in such a case)?

So far I was thinking to buy the Inferno US with a set of onroad tires, a rechargeable igniter and after run oil. What else do you think I should get?

(This is my first car since I sold my Inferno MP6 a few years ago!! I'm getting back into the hobby.. )

Hello Ehsan,

Inferno US Sport is already RTR, so you just need Fuel (i would suggest 15% nitro for breaking in then go up to 25% after break in), 12 AA batteries (four for the reciever and 8 for the controller). Keep it first to a minimum, no hop up yet. After break in then decide what you want/need to break in. Actually I would suggest to get one that would provide the most easily available parts. As for me, I am really having difficulty finding hop up parts at my local hobby shop. These are hop ups, not just replacement for broken parts. Glad, only a "few" parts are broken in mine. First, get a better glow plug (advice hot glow plug) then glow plug igniter

I am about 1.5 litres through breaking in my GO .21 7 port, still very rich but holy crap this thing is already impressing me. I haven't even started leaning it yet as the pinch is still a little tight and wanna run a few more rich tanks through it, however I think this thing is gonna be a monster.

I can't believe I stuck with that GXR for so long.

It is still early days for this motor but so far it is looking promising, however it might lack a little down low. Once I have it run in and tuned I'll see; but I might drop to a 13T clutch bell and maybe slightly heavier springs. I think that might suit the motor a little more.

See how we go.

Got a chance to run the Inferno this past Friday at the track. The track was in phenominal shape considering it hasnt been touched since September 15th 2007. Got in some good running and finished off my last bit of Trinity Paltinum fuel. Now I make the switch to Byrons Gen 2. Racing season is just around the corner for me. Come all you US Sports Ready Sets...............lets get some good finishes. Good luck racing this season.

ok people i have a problem i want to upgrade the pipe on this beast (us sports) but according to someone i know if i just change the pipe and not the manifold to the performance wouldent change much is this true ????

and if it is what manifold fits this gxr.28 because the manififold screws onto the engine rather than using a spring , so pease can you point me to the one i need looking for about £25 for the lot if more expensive though i aint botherd sso just give me any links and things to ones that fit

as far as i know, the us sports is the latest version of the 7.5 rtr's...so basically they're both variations of the same thing.
